Eric Williams of the Charlotte got waived yesterday. Does any one have a idea why that moved happened. It leaves us witrh 14 on the roster , I have a feeling it will be a few players we will be looking at out of the NDBL. Afew 1o day contracts signed.

I read somewhere that they were going to re-sign Alan Anderson. The TV announcers made it seem that there were some cap benefits to letting him go. Some of the better cap-ologists like tamburello, Big Slam or Spectre can speak to that better than me.

I'm not sure whether we'll get any kind of benefit of that release. Because waiving a player requires %100 agreement between club and player. I don't think that Williams would be willing to give up some portion of his contract, because he should have been aware that none of the teams would sign him. Only if we accepted to pay his full money, he'd be satisfied to leave.

In my rough opinion, that waive operation occured in this way. But I need to check the rules concerning waiving.

There would be no savings at all - unless he was injuired and couldn't play so club insurance would pay about 80 cents to the dollar but even then the player has to have had to been out for an extensive period of time.

I think Zig is right - they wanted to create a roster spot to bring Ando back in. Although if it was me, I'd be bringing Ramos up from the D.

We need more bigs, not more wings.

That's for sure, but I definitely agree with Slam, if we'll bring a player, he should be a big man, not a wing player. I'm not against Alan Anderson, he is a decent player but not our real need.

I heard Ando was tearing it up in the D I think he'll be a good pick up for the Cats but I feel like a big would have been a even better pick up for us right now.

With the Tulsa 66ers, Hes averaged 15.8 ppg, 54.5FG%, 45% 3pt%, 3.8 rpg, 2.7 apg and 1.04 spg

good move to get Anderson back. He's got some potential and Eric Williams does not.

For those who think we should have gotten a "big".... take a good look at what "bigs" are floating around on waivers right now and then get back to me.

We can't even give Hollins minutes so we don't need another big. This gives us another ball handler in Brevin's absence.

If we had moved a little bit faster, we'd have gotten Luke Schenscher, who is 7'1''. And 7'3'' Peter John Ramos was still available. They were both playing in D-League.

Actually none of these are permanent solutions. And I know that even if we lose the rest of the games left because of being big man-less, it won't change much things. But what matters is always taking right steps. That won't change the fate of franchise, but we could give Alan the chance in the summer league also.

And I don't agree with that we "can't" give minutes to Hollins. IMO, we "don't" give Hollins the minutes.

Not bad at all last year I liked what I saw from Ando if he's healthy I think he will contribute.
