"Possible assistant coach candidates for the Gophers are former Gophers player and current assistant for the Charlotte Bobcats, J.B. Bickerstaff. His father, Bernie, won't be coaching the Bobcats next year, and a new coach might want to bring in his own assistants."
Don't let the door hit you on the way out!!

I think a lot of it is the daddy gave me this job with no experience, yet I can still get dui's for the team. When he was head coach for a couple of games, he did decent enough.

I thought he was decent in his role but I'm not sure if he would have been a great pick up for head coach in the near future.
I think we should pick up Ewing to take his place.

He helped Yao, he certainly can help the big men.

I liked him and the players seemed really like him. I know he spent a lot of time working with EO50.
Pity he didn't assist 1st at college, then come to the NBA. It would have seemed less "dad got me the job" then.

I didn't dislike JB, I just felt that he got the job because of his Dad. There were probably 500 guys out there better prepared and that had more experience that had the right to have the top assistant spot for the Bobcats ahead of JB.

I agree with you ZIGGY he wasnt the most quilifed to have that job in the first place . He needs to get some experance either as a head coach at a smaller college or as a ass to Tubby and then move on up . One thing for sure is hes not ready for a NBA head coaching gig.

Give him a few years and he'll be back in the nba if he leaves. Kid has some potential.

good luck to J.B. "D.W.I." Bickerstaff i would love to see him as a head coach at maybe the college level in a couple years. he is a good coach and i'm just joking around when I bring up his d.w.i.
