Who would be a better fit playing next to Emeka? Roy is huge at 7'2 280ish and it would allow Emeka to play strictly at PF, but Al on the other hand has almost the same size and game as Emeka. Al's probably less of a shot blocker, but may wind up being an equal or better rebounder.
Who would you rather see next to Mek and why?

while i think thornton will put up better numbers in the nba, i think for the bobcats that hibbert will be a better choice. he would give the cats another solid post threat with okafor. he gives us a true center (primoz is not a starting center). thornton reminds me a lot of gerald wallace with better outside shooting. but for the bobcats, i would take hibbert even though thornton will probalby put up better numbers

I'm still saying Hibbert myself. But I have to admit that I had second thoughts after watching Al play the last few days.

Hibbert. A center that has post skills and defense, and is 7'2 is harder to come by than a good offensive power forward. Melvin Ely can fit that bill.
Thornton, however, would be a nice consolation prize if Hibbert if off the board, because he's certainly no slouch on either end of the court.
Hell, after watching the Florida-OSU game I was drooling over Corey Brewer. Nothing big stats wise but man oh man he's a stud.

Hibbert--- He is HUGE!!! Nobody would be able to bring it inside with Okafor and Hibbert there!

Ever body on hear has said Hibbert. But in another thread everbody likes the new style of off. Do you guys think Hibbert could be good in a run and gun offence. Or do you think Thornton or Wright would fit better in a run and gun . I dont know you guys tell me.
I know Hibbert would be great in a half court . But i dont know about a run and gun

In response to this, Hibbert is not a run and gun type player. If we converted to this type of offense I would make Okafor the Center, and grab either Thronton or Wright to man the PF spot.
Thornton reminds me of Karl Malone, and Wright could turn into many things, from Vince Carter to an Antawn Jamison style player.

i think that mek should stay pf
more scoring and then roy could stop all shot while scoring at the same
and no one could touch the rim

I love the way Hibbert plays and he would be good next to OKAFOR in a half court game. But i think the Bobcats have to figure out if they are going to be a run and gun team or a half court team. Then they should draft the same way the team is going. Half court team Hibbert would be great . A run and gun team then speed becomes a factor.

Al Thornton the same size as EO50?
Thornton is 6'7" and 220. No need for him when we have Crash.

In order to do this, we should hire our new coach as soon as possible.

I agree the sooner the coach the quicker we can start puting pieces toghter .
Say we get the suns coach its no need to draft Hibbert , speed is the way to go.

Geeeeee Whiz, I screwed this thread up. I meant Al Horford out of Florida.

Horford is a Okafor all over again but he dont block shots as well. Thorton is a lot like Crash But if we went to a run and gun offence Hortford runs the floor well that leaves Okafor playing the 5 spot But if we go to a run and gun . Hartford or Wright both would be a better pick than Hibbert.
Ahhhhhhhhh that makes more sense Zig!!
I like Horford a LOT and wouldn't be too upset if we drafted him.
I sure would like him over, say, Noah. I love Horford aggression and power. It would make our front court a little undersized, but Horford and EO50 are gret shot blockers so I think we could get away with it.
Like I said, I would be ok with drafting Horford.
