Herr-Mahn to Herman

Anyone know why the media first proounced his name hermahn and now Herman? Which is correct?

On one of the televised games a few weeks ago, the announcers said at the beginning that it is Herman. They said they had been pronouncing it Herr-Mahn all this time and Matt Carroll finally corrected them.

Call him George , it dont matter to me . This guy is turning into a player, So call him Fabio , The Dager, The Claw , Hell talk about the size of his hands and feet i dont care as long as he plays like hes doing .

Last night's game was televised here in South Carolina and there was a pre-game interview with Bernie. He was talking about the players and said "Walter Herr-Mahn, I mean Herman". Poor Walter. He's turned out to be such a huge asset to the team and no one can pronounce his name!

Well he can barely understand anything anyways so he probably has no idea it's being said improperly.
