That move makes no sense. Why pay him the $3 million roster bonus, then let him go a month later? Also, Keyshawn is still solid on the football field.

"It'll be great to mentor Dwayne Jarrett, being USC buddies and all."

LoL. That's a dumb move. A player that had 70 catches and has never been injured in his career is dumb.

I don't agree with the move because of the timing of it, AFTER we give him 3 mil bounus! Should have done it earlier. He lost us 3 or 4 games last year, either by dropping the ball or not breaking up an interception and just flat out quit on a lot of plays.

I can see Philadelphia picking him up.

The only good thing that can come out of this is us resigning Smitty and Peppers after this season.

It's too bad they didn't think of that BEFORE that damn signing bonus. Maybe the bonus was to start a broadcasting career.

It's rumored that 4 teams are interested in him: The Eagles, Chargers, Titans, and Giants.

I can see Philadelphia picking him up.

I still think this will happen

To me from what ive read in thease two threads, its more to this than we know . Just reading this about Keashawn makes me think thet it was truble in the Panthers camp between Keashawn and Fox.
This might not be as bad of move as we think .Behind the seans things are going on hear. The panthers are not going to just give up milions with out a reason.
From what you gus was saying in the other thread it was Keyshawns way or no way . All so no one seamed to care if we got rid of him or not.

You guys tell me i watch the Panters but i dont keep up with them that close.....

John Fox was interviewed about it, and said that Keyshawn hasn't done anything wrong. That he understood the reasoning behing the cut but still didn't think it was the right move. The reasoning being we want to get younger players more chances to play.

I'd bet that he goes to the Giants, unless ofcoarse the pats want to make a deal for him, since they don't have any talent at all already.........sigh. Johnson and Moss on the same team as Dillon and Brady. 16-0 easy.

I keep hearing the main reason we cut him was because we wanted to get younger at the WR position, but I still think it was a bad move on the FO's part. If Jarret pans out and he's a good receiver then I think everything will be fine, but if he comes in here and it takes him a season or 2 to get adjusted to the NFL then I think it'll hurt us big time this season.

Sportscenter is reporting that the Raiders are interested in Keyshawn... I wouldn't wish playing for the Raiders on anybody however.

Yeah, I feel bad for everyone on that team, but I think with Ja Marcus behind center they'll win a few more games. Plus they won't allow as many sacks. Russell should be able to get away from some of the DE's in the NFL.

Johnson will not play for a losing team. He already has money. If he doesn't get an offer from a contender then he'll not play. Still after the pats adding Moss to the mix, can you really call anybody else a contender?
