There seems to be a lot of disgruntlement in Celtics Nation concerning Gerald Green, and quite a few of their faithful have given up on him and want him moved.
Case and point BMSW Full Court Press (http://www.bostonsportsmedia.com/celtics/2007/05/fcp_roundtable_closing_the_boo.html) and CelticsBlog (http://www.celticsblog.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=632&Itemid=33#jc_allComments)
Would you be willing trade our #22 pick for Gerald Green?

yeah I'll take him. Can we say the 2nd coming of Gerald Wallace minus the d?
In the blink of an eye.
It would be GREAT to undo the muck up that was our 2nd lotto pick from '05

Yes. Is it still possible to trade our #13 pick of that year for Green? 8)

I dont mind having Green but i would hate to give up our 22nd pick to get him .Iwould give it up but would hate it. I would rather give up a player or two for him. We have a lot of even trade players we could trade for him . B.K should make for a strong trading block for him . A good player whos contract is up at the end of the year . Plus they need a point any way dont they.
Morrison a possable star would work if we willing to give up that much.
Mabe MAY and A.Anderason might get the job done or Anderson and Hollins.
Carroll on a even trade would do it. If the BOBCATS WOULD DO IT.
Walter would get the job done too for sure . But i hope nothing like that comes down.
If our pick is a better loto pick that might get the job done too . Just trading loto picks.
We have a lot of options i would not just jump unless it was to our advantage big time.

I'm in agreement with most of you, I'd give up our #22 for Gerald Green without too much stress, especially if we can grab a big with our lottery pick.

this is tough, i don't think we should be giving up draft picks in this deep draft but gerald green has potential to be great. but he reminds me of jr smith, super athletic can shoot the 3 and finish in transition but little else. depending on whose available in the draft with our 22nd pick if crittendon, thad young, belinni and others are gone i'd pull the trigger, but if any of those are available i'd have to take them

I think I would do it like someone stated earlier especially if we got a big man (Hibbert) with the first pick. With more minutes I think Green could become a great young two guard in this league and just imagine a run and gun offence with Felton and Green at the 1 and 2 it would mean some fun Bobcats games plus various highlights.

Eh, I would rather keep the 22nd and hope someone like Young or Stuckey is there when it's our pick.

I would give up B.K and May in a second. They might not want May though with his health problems. I would even add in Hollins or A Anderson instead of may if they wanted...
Well, I wanted him last year. Now, I'd rather have JR Smith. Gerald Green has a much better attitude than Smith, though.

George Karl would probably give away JR for a 3 day old ham biscuit right now. I don't want his attitude on the Bobcats roster though.

I don't think J.R would fit in very nicely on our team.

If May ever has a healthy season you wouldn't want to get rid of him at all. He's been down right beastly when he got to play. I'd trade the 22nd pick for green, I think green has as much potential as anybody else availabe at that spot. Which is to say he has a lot seeing as how deep the draft is.

Because we require something called a "strong work ethic"?

1: McMay Can't stay healthy
2: While he's pretty impressive on offense and in close, he's a defensive liability. How many of them do we want on our team?

I must have not watched enough games, I don't consider him a defensive liability. I mean with the injuries he's had should he be any better on D? If he stays healthy you will be impressed, he's another Elton Brand just wating to blossom.

Going to mix post here. I'd still rather take Rudy with the 22nd pick instead of Green. I don't want JR Smith on our team at all, kinda like having TO in football, most of the time he can make the big play, but he's always running his mouth at his coach, teamates and refs. He's a Cancer in IMO.
Although I'd give up our 8th pick and 22nd pick to land Oden! plus AMMO and Knight.

If other players were included in the trade back, I'd even consider trading Okafor.
Paul Pierce + Oden
Okafor + both 1st rounders.
Felton
Pierce
Wallace
Herrmann
Oden
The Celtics are the first team that came to mind.

Yes sir. Crash is really, really good. But guys like Oden come along once every 15 or 20 years.

He's too fat, too slow and too unathletic to guard 90% of PF's in the leauge. Guy's like Bosh, Jermaine, Howard, Brand, KG, Gooden, Boozer, Odom, LMA, Matrix, West.....the list goes on and on.
Funny you see him as a Brand type.
I see him as a Randolf type. Solid 20 and 10 type guy (IF he can stay fit) but shoots too much and plays D too little.
Plus they are both fat and slow.

I already said I'd give up picks and AMMO, and Knight. I wouldn't give up Oak unless it included another great PF. Herrman played great at the end of the year but I'm not convinced that he's more than a sixth man at best. He really didn't play against the best players, and he went on an incredible shooting streak for a while. Looked like Dirk, which he is most definetly NOT.
