If the Bobcats decide to go that route with #8 or #22.
Jarvis Crittenton
Acie Law IV
Mike Conley Jr,
If they took one at #8 I would cringe, but at #22 I could deal with it. Either way, Ray needs to be challenged and raise his game, or we need to find out if his level of play from last season is about what we can expect for the long haul.

Conley would have the best chance. But I still think Ray will be an all star soon, if not next year.

I felt better about him after his rookie year.Last year, I didn't see the continued development that I had hoped for.

if a PG is drafted, i would have to go with crittendon. he reminds me of a guy pounding the jazz right now named baron davis. he's big (6 foot 5) athletic, can penetrate and find guys and shoot it.
he has the most upside of the three while law offers experience and conley offers quickness.
i don't see why someone isn't trying to take crittendon in the top 15, he's got it all. i think he was the 2nd rated PG out HS ahead of conley and behind lawson (but don't hold me to that, i think thats what it was).

You know 123 he does remind me alot of Baron, except that he doesn't seem to talk as much trash. He really did seem to be all biz when he lit it up against my Tarheels.

I'd take Jarvis I've always wanted a bigger point guard for the Bobcats.

He does have Shaun Livingston size to go along with Baron's strength. good combo to have.

this is why we need him and i'm hoping he falls to us and we take him. all of the matchup problems he would cause would be awesome

All the match-up problems Crittenton would cause would be nice, but I think Conley would have the best chance to start ahead of Ray.
If Conley falls to us at the 8th spot I don't think we'll take him just for the fact we need a big guy, but if Crittenton is there at 22 we better pick him up.
Conley is going to be something else. He has all the tools already to really make a name for himself in the NBA.
If Felts could learn the patience, poise and decision making of Conley then with his athletic abilities he would be an all star. It's just a matter if IF Felts can learn or if he is set in his ways.
We could always draft Conley at #8 and trade him (or Felts) to someone in need of a quality, young PG and get something we need in return (like a "name" SG)

Slam, That right there is the million dollar question. At the end of his rookie year I was convinced that Ray was going to be a star, but another season of shooting 38% muddled those thoughts for me. I hope that with a new coach and more talent he steps it up next season, but looking at a backup plan in case he doesn't isn't a bad idea in my opinion.

I really hope it works out for ray. Your point is taken though on a backup plan.
