The NBA Lottery is tonight.

anybody, got any good luck charms handy?????

Besides getting the number 2 spot and having a no pressure pick of a great player, which scenario would you most like to see from this Lottery.

Id personally like to end up with the number 6 spot, that keeps us out of any brandon wright or Noah chance (whom i think have bigger bust potential) and leaves us with a good chance at Conely, Yi Jinlian, Brewer. all guys i think can probally help this team.

so give me yours

If we don't get the 1 or 2 spot then I want to be somewhere that we can get Brewer, or Jianlian. After Oden and Durant those are the 2 I want.

If not a top two . I would like to see us land a Yi or a Hibbert. I just want a good big if we can land one at eight.

If we don't get top 2, then I'd like to see a scenario where none of the teams that tanked get it either. Maybe Philly and the Pacers.

Number 6 is technically impossible, man. Either 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10 or 11th picks. And 72.5% 8th pick will be ours. Let's see what happens. Just keep your fingers crossed.

It only took 37 tries, but I achieved my DREAM scenario
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/lottery2007/mockdraft

None of the teams that tanked made it into the top 2... And we managed to snag #1 :)

No good luck charms on me but I'm hoping we can land a top 2 slot if not land at 7 or 8 to pick up Hibbert.

My dream plays out that we land #1 and the Hawks #2.

We draft Oden and the Hawks draft Durant.

Then we send Oden to the Hawks for Durant and Chill.

Then we draft Law, Stuckey, Crittenton (which ever PG is left) with the #22 pick

Felts - Law/Stuckey/Crittenton
Chill - Hammer
Crash - Ammo
Durant - Fabio - McMay
EO50 - Jake - Hollins

I don't think we'd take Durrant with the first pick, we'd take Oden.

Yeah i think wed take oden as well.
a deal like slam is talkin about would definetly definetly be nice.... BUT.

1. Thats a pretty small team with no one close to 7 foot. and i cant see starting Durant as your NBA power forward, at least not right away... not big enough height or body wise. i think that if your trying to build a team that will be a contender for a long time... then i think you have to take the franchise center. thats taking nothing away from durant... he could very well be a jordan type that carries a team and also makes them a long time contender. But i just think the odds and precedent point to a big franchise center as a more stable base. For instance, Kobe is great, but Shaqs the reason for the rings.

2. No one in the NBA or sports in general will make big blockbuster trades like that anymore. Everyone is scared they will give up too much and not get enough in return. However the one guy dumb enough in the NBA to do any trade you can think of... would be Billy Knight. So slams trade idea is always an option with Knight at the helm.

im hoping for number 2 tonight.... Karma owes us big time, after George Shinn ripped our collective basketball heart out. Please NBA gods..shine on us.

Damn :banghead:

At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that the Celtics and Grizzlies blatent tanking didn't land them the top pick.

Since the Sonics are on the verge of moving out of Seattle, I wonder if they would be willing to move Durant for a truckload of money, our #8 and a player or two.... Unlikely, I know but if the ownership is trying to bail on he city, maybe theres a shot.

Would 8th pick, May and BK be enough?

Come on guys it's nice to dream, but there's no way in hell Seattle is going to give up that #2 pick unless we're giving up both our picks and Emeka, and I would really be against that. Let's be happy where we are, and take a big man to help out Emeka, because I think he's best at the PF spot....but it really depends on the style we want to play honestly.

If they want to run then I could see them getting Brewer or Green from Georgetown and putting Gerald at the 4 which he wouldn't like, but that's a hell of an athletic team there.

I'm just glad Atlanta didn't get the 1st pick. I don't want to face Oden in our own division.

I'm all on board with picking up Roy at 8

If we get a 3rd pick without moving up, I'd take Brewer.

Just two picks, I'd pick Hibbert.

I'd also consider trading down, but this isn't the year for trading up between 3-7. Only the top 2 are worth it.

I want Yi. To me, he looks like an extremely good version of Primo.

yeah im on board for taking a big with the 8th... its our glaring weakness. Yi, Brewer, or Hibbert. we could definetly do worse... for instance... Jo Noah... ill be sooo damn pissed if we take him.

Maybe, our 8th, 22nd and Hometown hero Adam Morrison would be enough to wrangle the number 2 slot away from Seattle... throw in some moola to boot and we may be able to swing a deal.... doubtful sure... but what fun is a forum if you cant talk about crazy trades.

in any other circumstance but Durant, giving up a 3rd pick, and 8th and a 22... is worth way more than the number 2 pick... except that its Durant. so it really kinda makes it fair. they may even throw in a second rounder.

a starting line up of felton, durant, wallace, may, okafor... is a big, atheletic, fast and talented starting lineup.... great on defense... and more than capable of scoring points. dreaming sure is fun.

Exchange May with Herrmann and that's an unstoppable line-up.
