Should we take a look at Thad Young? I rather him than Noah he has loads of potential as well.

8 seems high for Thad, but I don't want them to pick Joakim Noah either.

What is so bad about Noah. I just posted this on another thread, but he runs the floor great, has great hands, hates to lose, can hit the jumper from 12 to 15 feet out. I mean you guys are acting like we'd be drafting Eric Montross or someone. He's played on championship teams and the only reason his stats dropped this year is because the guys around him got so much better. If we draft Hibbert we might as well trade Ray. Ray is at one end of the floor in 4 seconds and Hibbert is there with 4 seconds left on the shot clock!

Noah strikes me as a guy who gets by on energy, but has very little real offensive basketball skills. I think he could hold his own defensively in the NBA, but on the other end of the court, I doubt if he would score 7 points a game with heavy minutes.

I really disagree on your opinion of the 7 pts. Especaily if we run, he'd get that much just on put backs. He's not a great enough player that teams would have to double him but that means that they'd continue to double Oak, leaving him open for dunks and 12 footers. Although what I really want is 82 games worth of Sean May next to Oak. This goes back aways but in the McDonalds game that he played in he hit more 3's than JJ! it was only 3 but he can hit a 20 footer. With him healthy, and Oak healthy Noah would be just an energy boost off the bench.

I certainly don't want to draft a player that is just an energy boost off the bench @ #8. Hawes has potential to be a good offensive scorer with some boards that has size and is worthy of starters minutes.

Either that, but I'd prefer to do what it takes to get Brewer, even if it meant trading up.
