Kobe wants to be traded according to this (http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-24-131/Kobe-Bryant-Says-He-d-Like-to-be-Traded.html),

Is there any way under ANY circumstances that we could get #24 in a Bobcats uniform?

haha no one is gonna shoot you.

Kobe would be a great asset to this team. unfortunatly theres no way to get him without giving up some major stuff. like oakafor.

now if we could give up Crash and the number 22 i would take it in a minute. I think its feasible... because he demands 17 mil a year... we are about the only team that can afford that. but alas... these are probally dreams

Ray, Kobe/carrol, Ammo/Hermann, May, Okafor. id take that.

not to mention, he was actually drafted in charlotte. but he refused to play here. could we get past the snub, would he even consider coming here.

he obviously wants to leave because they arent goin anywhere... does he think he can do it here?

It would hurt, but I would consider Crash & #8.

A couple of reasons that it may be a (small) possibilty are:
* The West is so loaded, and the Spurs/Suns ae so good that even if you put him on another relatively good team in the West, there are still no guarantees that they could make it out of that conference in the playoffs.

* This would also be an opportunity for Jordan to make a big splash and put his personal stamp on the franchise.

* We are one of the very few teams with the cap space to handle his contract

* With free agency, we could put together a championship calier lineup that he requires:
Felton, Kobe, Rashard Lewis, May, Okafor. Bench Ammo, Carroll, Hermann
In the weak eastern conference that lineup contends for a #1 or #2 seed.

I heard our teams name get brought up on Cold Pizza a few days ago while talking about possible places he could go. I'd do any trade possible unless it involves Okafor to be honest how about Wallace, the 22th pick and 8th. I'd even throw a scorer in the deal in Matt Carroll if we resign him.

It would be a good package for Kobe but I'm not sure if LA would do it or not Kobe on the Bobcats = playoffs next year easily. So I'd like to atleast think we would be looking to try to atleast make an attemp at picking him up.

I prefer Crash over Kobe...

Also, I think Kobe would hurt the team more then help it.

If anything would happen it'd most likely involve Raymond, as the point was their biggest weakness.

Ray, Adam, and # 8 for Kobe.

Trade up and get Crittendon.

Like that'd ever happen ::)

i prefer kobe over crash. i mean its really a no brainer... crash is one of my favorite dudes on the team, a great guy and a hell of a basketball player. but when you got a chance to get a guy who has the ability to drop 80 points, you at least try. in just a battle of pure production and value, kobe is well worth a try.
but im still not sure i can get over him snubbing us, and making Vlade Divac come here instead.

Amen to that Mustachio. When I guy like Kobe becomes available, You have to make an attempt to get him even if its a longshot.

*Bumpus Edit - I just agree but I didn't write it :D

Of course everybody loves Crash here. But when you have a chance to land a player like Kobe, to consider twice is only the loss of time. I'd do anything to get him here. Except Okafor, I'd include any player, any pick to package. IMHO, it would be much costly than you guys suggested but he definitely worths it.

Kobe will never come to Charlotte. He wants clubs like Knicks, Bulls etc. But just imagine we brought him here. He'll want to be successful as soon as possible and I don't think we'll satisfy Kobe in that aspect. So Kobe will opt out in 2009 or force the management to trade him again, just like he's doing to Buss CO.

All in all, although I love him here, it's better to focus on more reasonable probabilities.
