As idicated by the Charlotte Observer:

Projected lottery picks who expect to work out for the Bobcats include Corey Brewer and Joakim Noah of Florida, Al Thornton of Florida State and Jeff Green of Georgetown. Charlotte has the No. 8 overall pick, and the 22nd pick, from Toronto.

Surprisingly, Texas A&M point guard Acie Law and Washington center Spencer Hawes don't expect to audition for Charlotte. They indicated the Bobcats were already deep at point guard and center, which isn't necessarily true.

The second section surprises me. "deep at point guard and center"? We don't even have a legit center!! As for the point, we obviously have a starter but no backup. I don't think that we would need to workout Law as we have our point guard. My understand also is that Hawes won't work out with us because he won't nessecarily fit into the system that's being integrated(probably a run and gun).

I wonder who else we're going to workout?

As for who is coming in for workouts I'm glad they are bringing in Brewer and Al Thornton.

I would love for us to work out Javaris Crittenton, Thad Young and Marcus Williams.

I'm wondering who they'll bring in for the 2nd round of players to work out? My guess would be Williams, Cook, and other shooting guards, with some points mixed in.

Let me add Rodney Stuckey to the list of guys that should also come in.

We don't need Hawes anyway, I was never big on him. Law is interesting though, I guess he feels like he should come in as a starter unchallenged cause he knows Raymond is most likely going to be here a while.

Its not inconcievable that he could come in and beat Ray out for the starting PG spot... But I guess you're right, he probably wants a more "guaranteed minutes" type of situation.

hmm. I'm sure these workouts have to be closed. I sure wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall there though.

I went down to the arena last year and watched Morrison and Carney through the window. Really cool but you have to know when they are down there.

they already started having workouts last june 7, 2007, with coahch sam calling the shots, according to the official site.

apparently they knew what their needs are, since they brought in SGs to look into. :)

Who are these guys? FA pickups? I don't see them on any mock draft and haven't heard of them.
I was very excited to see that Phil Ford was going to be an assistant coach. I get into this argument a lot but he is the best college player ever to come out of UNC. Yes MJ had a better career but nobody has every played college ball like that guy did. He would have been in the HOF if he hadn't had a finger stuck in his eye up to the second nuckle! Which led to pain med's and then booze. If anybody can teach Raymond anything else it's him. I really wish we'd just bring in some 1st rounders though...
