I'll be doing some maintenance this weekend, either Saturday or Sunday. So if you hit the site on one of those days and get a weird message, have no worries, everything will be up and back to normal soon.

... And, there may be a few surprises

LOL, Nah it would be more fun to have Phil Ford's wife as a member. :)

unfortunately, its not that either. We'll see how it goes this weekend.

Surprise!

We're back up. IF you've made it to this post, then obviously seen the new layout. Its more lightweight and stable than the previous layout. Theres still plenty of tweaking for me to do, for example I've been working with a guy that was supposed to create me a cool new header, but his efforts have been "delayed" ::). Something else that I've done is moved from GoDaddy hosting to Hostgator hosting. I really hope that this will eliminate some of the performance problems that we have from time to time on the site. ( A piece of advice, If you are building a website, avoid Godaddy hosting like the beubonic plague. They have been nothing but trouble )

Please let me know if you run into any problems, gripes, complaints or criticisms :)

One thing that I forgot to mention is that, when you move from one host to the other, you have to update your nameservers... and that may take hours, or in some cases a day to propogate throughout the internet. As a result for the next day, don't be alarmed if you get sent to the old site with the old layout. Its a very temporary thing

Good to see that Matt has made it on the banner.

I may have another 1 or 2 created for me in the next day or two. Once they're done, I'll display them all and let you guys decide what you like best.

Quick question do the red x's show up when you use a different internet broswer like Firefox? I'm currently using IE.

I've got the same problem with IE. It's on your Corey Brewer picture. The link is probably dead.

Thanks eaton & Bumpus, I didn't catch that. I spend 99.999% of my time on Firefox instead of IE.

ziggy, i cant tell you how much better this new site is. i love the banner, the layout everything much much better.

it seems to work faster and with less problems too.

only problem is... most of the buttons on mine dont work.. im using IE so that may be the problem. i should rephrase... the buttons work.. they just show up as red x's like they failed to load...

for instance the quick reply button is a red x... but the link works.

but again.. this new layout is very cool... very clean and new. you have the approval of mustachio for whatever thats worth.

Hey Mustachio, Are you still getting those X's on the quick reply? I just checked IE and I get this.

If you're still getting it, can you send me a screenshot if its not a lot of trouble? Thanks.

click the reply at the bottom of the thread, then click the additional options dropdown and then there should be a 'browse' button where you select the file to attach.

Thanks again for your help.
