Don't know if y'all check out the Observer blog of Rick Bonnell or not, but is it just me or does it seem like half of the people that comment on his blog have that "doomed from the start" attitude? Of course you're not going to like the product if you don't give it a chance. One person went so far as to say that the majority of people didn't feel comfortable with the Bobcat's Arena atmosphere....what a joke. I simply didn't have the energy to reply to that garbage so I decided to rant here. Look guys, I'm a diehard sports fan, especially for NASCAR and the Panthers. When I attend races and Panther games, I pray that I don't get into trouble with other fans. That is the absolute LAST thing on my mind when going to B cat games. The atmosphere is great! Everyone is having a good time watchin us try our best.

My apologies for the rant. With that beign said, looks like the B cats website has their mock draft picking Noah at the 8 spot. Am I the only one who is going to cry if this happens?

I dont like Noah , in my mind hes lucky to be a top 15, Ziggy or someone should right a letter to the news paper about the bad rap they give the Bobcats and never report much positive news W/S does a better job than Charlotte. Let all the members sign it and he may even be able to let the visitors sign it . The Bobcats at least deserve decent plubisity in thair home town. At least it would let the paper know how some of its readers feel.

Yeah.. basically its a bunch of whiners making excuses.

people will show up in droves when the bobcats start winning again.

im with you though...everytime i read an observer article online i read the comments..... and its ridiculous, just a bunch of panty waste that cant get over things that happened in the past... its silly and we are better off without that fickle fan bull crap in the arena...

this is gonna be the best year for the bobcats so far, probally gonna make some free agent noise and more draft picks... so look for the arena to fill up more this year and all these whiners switching faces and pretending theyve been cheering from the start.

Both of you guys are right. We all need to petition Noah, and yes when we start winning more games all those fair weather fans will be packing the seats. Speaking of the arena, anybody going to the draft party?

You're absolutely right, There is a lot of negativity over at the Observer. Every single time they have a chance to write something negative Rick Bonnell & company jumpa all over it.
The commenters on his blog aren't much better.

Once the Bobcats start winning, those clowns will all be claiming that they were diehard fans from day#1 :)

Mustachio, I understand how you feel. I just pray that somebody above us takes Noah, so we don't have to deal with him being drafted with our #8 pick

i would literally take anyone but Noah in this draft... we could draft Marc Gasol with the 8th pick and id be happier than if they drafted Noah.

they could take the 8th pick and trade it straight up for sebastian telfair and id be happier than if they drafted noah.

they could select a used typewrite with the 8th pick and get more use out of it than if they drafted noah.

i could go on for days but i wont.

That is classic. However, I'm not going to lie to you all, I've got that sick feeling in my head that we are going to get him. Is it too late to stage a billboard stunt? I dunno maybe I'm biased, my roommate in Miami was a Gators fan, and me being the cocky Tar Heel fan that I am, got blasted with how great Noah was for two years...I can't handle it if he comes to the B Cats..

I'd support Noah, though I'd prefer they don't draft him. There are many others I like better.

Today the news is that Kevin McHale has a man-crush for Spencer Hawes...which you'd think would be good news for us, but unfortunately I was counting on McHale to take Noah. I don't think there's any way Noah is off the board before the 8th pick, which can't be good.

There's no point wasting breathe on the Observers coverage of the Bobcats. It sucks. I'm not sure Rick Bonnell even likes the NBA. They must have grabbed the guy off the press pool. Rick's blog is terrible terrible. His latest downer concerned Mokeski's drug charge. Just depressing.

I actually commmented on that blog. Asked him to please just stop it and go away.

Yeah I eventually caved in and commented too. I'm not going to read those blogs anymore because the people that write them are garbage writers in my own opinion. I'd say that i'm going to go read some articles on ESPN.com but they are getting just as bad (i.e. Bill Simmons, and Terry Blount's recent articles). I love Mike and Mike in the morning though. They always seem to have great morning questions for the fans.

That'd be cool...what about the big man from the far East? Worth the risk? It could put Oak town at PF for good.

Bonnell from the Observer does a good job sometimes, I think it's the editors and overall pressure from the readers that force him to cover the Bobcats from a negative slant, because controversy sells more papers, not homerism, and that's all they are about over there. With that said, the commenters over there usually don't know about the team at all, post these ridiculous trade scenarios, and think Jordan should come back and play, lol.

your right,

we probally shouldnt get upset at all over those comments, because its mostly stupid people who happened upon the article accidently. the thing that worries me is that, the vocal are heard. so these idiots spoutin off about how much they want Vince Carter are making it look like the whole of bobcats community want Carter.

If the Mgmt want a fair opinion they should plant a fake poster here and see what diehards think
