weed or no weed... id love to pick up williams at the 22nd pick. he averaged 5 blocks a game at BC in the ACC.

and Vincent seems enamored with him.

Tag team him with Okafor in the paint and watch out mamma.

If Williams stays in line and does his job. Hes a steal at eight yes i said eight . The guy is that good . Of corse no one will take a chance on him at eight but at 22 i would roal the dice.
If Wright is still around at eight that means that means all the players we might want like Yi and Brewer are gone. So i would be ok with the pick. A hell of a lot better than Noah.

No way I'd take Williams at 8 maybe 22 but Wright on the other hand I'd be all over if ONLY if Brewer is gone.

if wright went to kentucky or something would it make the pick alright?

colleges aside (even tho a huge carolina fan myself) wright is simply a young chris bosh and if you can get that at #8 you've got to take it

i agree you take wright if he is available... hes the BPA.

BUT... we will be the laughing stock of the NBA for the rest of the time we are a franchise.... "oh look were playing UNC South tonight"... "and man i know a guy who graduated from UNC, you wanna give him a contract", Trust me.. we are already pushing it.

anyway,
rumor has it that Noah is rocketing back up the draft boards. Gms are talkin about him as high as 4 now... and both the PTI guys had him being taken before 8.

Wright could be a real possibility now. In my opinion if Brewer or Yi is available at 8 you take them... even if Wright is available. Wright is a project, doesnt play with fire and is a tarheel. Hes also got massive massive potential.

i dont know im kinda torn.. all i know is this is the craziest offseason weve ever had. there are guys that could go from 3--14. thats insane at this point, where guys should be locked down to at least 3 spot range.

snippet from the nba.com link

Brandon Wright: (On his decision to come and work out for the Bobcats)
It was a combination of a lot of things. You have to be able to cover your tracks. You never know who might trade into the top five to get the player you want.
Maybe something is in the works. It is really weird that you see a projected top 5 pick work out for a team with the #8 pick.

damnit that quote makes me think that the damn UNC south are gonna trade with the celtics a stupid amount that we shouldnt give up to go get brandon wright another tar heel, because thats what they think we want. ughgh

I'll take Wright as a 3rd pick....I can't say that I would be against it at all. Sure, I'd take him if Brewer or Yi were gone without hesitation.

I think the only reason that Wright worked out for us was because many people have him dropping because of the hype with Yi, Brewer, and even towards Mike Conley Jr.

I seriously doubt we'd trade up for him.

As for Sean Williams....it really depends on who is available. If Stuckey, Young, or Crittenton are available, no thanks. If they aren't, I'll take a risk on him..we have that strong of a team to take him in and think we can alter that attitude - kind of feels like the NE Patriots.

Mustachio, I take it you wouldn't be pleased with Reyshawn Terry at 22?

About Noah's stock suddenly rising: music to my ears. Take him, Memphis; take him, Boston; just get him away from us!

Having seen him play live a handful of times, I agree he appears to not have his heart in the game at all times (i.e. vs. Michigan St.), but he has an unquestionable desire to win.

Lastly, this IS a crazy offseason, and the draft is as helter skelter as I've ever seen it, considering the talent available this year, so there are going to be some debacles and some brilliant moves, let's just hope we fall into the latter!

To top that off beagle....hopefuly someone (not us!) but in our division or conference pull off a massive trade that goes all to hell I.E. D-Wade for Primoz
