Now this is only a rumor but its something that i am definitly willing to do...

"The New Jersey Nets are trying to pry Sean May away from the Charlotte Bobcats using the #17 pick combined with Bostjan Nachbar."

http://www.draftexpress.com/blogs.php?blogid=3

Sean May showed some promise early last year but then he got hurt...he seems like somebody who people will always say yea he could be pretty good...but i think injuries will hurt his career...i am all for making this trade happen

I doubt yi will drop to us but what if we then pulled off the Golden state trade...we would have Jrich and the 17th and 18th pick...we could take sean williams and then whoever is best available

But anyways...what do u guys think about the may trade??

Well nevermind

"The Bobcats turned down an offer from the New Jersey Nets that would have exchanged Sean May for New Jersey's 17th overall pick in Thursday's draft, two league sources confirmed."

Wow this is rediculous!!! how could we pass up a trade like that??? May's knees are only going to get worse...unbelievable...jordan must be too in love with his fat ass tarheel buddy

I would have liked for it to happen, but I'm o.k. that it didn't.

May's going to have to get in shape in order to stay in the league. If he stays in shape, he should have a pretty good career. I think he's smart enough to know that he's got to take care of himself better.

My guess is that we draft a big with one of our picks and May starts to realize he has to work harder if he's going to get minutes on this team.

If we get Kurt Thomas, May will have competition and a mentor to play.

I think the only reason we turned that down is thair has to be a better deal on another table with Mays name on it. Im a hudge Heal fan and i even think its time to unload May. Its just hard to think we could get any more for him. Second thought could be he could not pass the physical.

The funny part? Bonnell acted like that was "giving" May away. Dropping 4 slots (May was picked 13th) in a much stronger draft IMO isn't exactly giving away a guy who can't get healthy. Did you guys see the reason from Coach V on why May wouldn't play summer league? The knee isn't healed yet.

I'm thinking it'll never be healthy.

Do you guys think hes done for and can't pass the physical. That trade would have been a steal on our part.

The same thought crossed my mind. Maybe he can't pass the physical, so we decided rather than go thru and flunk (like Hunter when he was traded to NOK for 2 2nd rounders) and plummet his trade value it'd be better to just kill the deal.

Not heard that anywhere, but you have to wonder.

Eaton, yeah, I think it was in one of those Q&A things after a workout, said he's still recuperating.

Nachbar isn't a bad player but he's awfully similar to Hermann/Morrison so I don't think he's a great fit for us.

Giving up May for the #17 is pretty iffy. May has game when he's healthy. We've spent two years developing him already. We're trying to get better, not delay the process by getting younger. I'm glad we didn't do the deal.

If we can just somehow get Williams at #22 we'll be in good shape next year.

Starters:
Felton
Ellis
G Wallace
Okafor
Brezec

Bench:
Brevin
Carroll
Hermann
Morrison
May
Williams
Hollins

Leave Alan Anderson and Othella on the DL
