i saw 2 mock drafts on draftexpress and nbadraft.net and they both had us taking cook. i was just wondering if he's even worked out for us. i didn't really like his game that much in college, always seemed to try to do too much and be the "star"

In 3 years, Cook will be 3 times better than both of them.

I don't mind when a player puts effort into attempting to carry his team...he is only 20 and will improve with coaching. Early in the season when Oden was out he put the team on his back and was a scoring machine.


I like his potential, but he's far from a polished product. He has all the tools to be a 25 PPG player with proper coaching. nbadraft.net has him compared to Larry Hughes, and it's quite a close comparison; he could also be compared to Joe Johnson as his best possible comparison.

Williams is more versatile and is more of a sure pick, Cook has a higher ceiling. I think if he waited a year he would have been a lottery pick.
