• The Bobcats exercised the team options to retain WalterHerrmann and Ryan Hollins next season. However, backup center JakeVoskuhl exercised a player option to terminate his contract.

Voskuhl's agent, Mark Bartelstein, told the Observer his client enjoys playing for the Bobcats, but is looking for a long-term deal. Voskuhl had a productive season, picking up the slack for an often-injured Primoz Brezec.

With the Bobcats trading for Richardson and hoping to re-sign Wallace and Carroll, the roster is filling up with wing players. However, new coach SamVincent says he sees Herrmann as primarily a power forward, not a small forward.

Vincent said he doesn't anticipate Alan Anderson playing summer-league games, because Anderson's contract status is unsettled.

• Vincent reinforced Monday that he was all for trading the rights to rookie Brandan Wright for Richardson, in pursuit of a playoff spot: "We want guys who are more about the right now than the two years from now."

We need to get Wallace signed . With Jake not coming back we are very thin with bigs. Just a wild thought after signing Wallace instead of signing Carroll we sign Darko what are you guys ideas about that. Its a good chance the magic released him or is not matching any contracts.

I'm hoping we sign him to a 4-5 year contract for 7-8 million. 50M is the rumored amount to get him, but I'm not sure many teams can offer that unless they sign and trade.

With the lack of money teams have . We might be able to snag Darko for a four year at 7 mil per. I know we lose Carroll but we need a big. We just have to get Wallace signed first everthing hinges on him.But i would love this starting five.

darko having a falling out with Magic is good and bad.

for one we will get him locked up for 4-5 years in his prime development for a reasonable salry for a 7 foot big man with offensive game.

however, isnt this the second straight team he has had issues with... seems to me he might be a bit pissy to work with. something i can get over very quickly considering his value haha.

cool thing is... there were two key free agents under 25 years old, that have started out rough but gained lots. Gerald Wallace, and Darko... both could be bobcats soon. Both have shown great strides in their game and look to be headed into thier primes. quality attention and coaching could do Darko well.

I like Matt Carroll alot... but with J-rich and Adam on the bench... Darko is a much bigger need... especially at the price wed have to pay for Matt. Darkos only 21 for god sakes.
