CHARLOTTE – On the same day a ESPN.com report indicated veteran free agent Jake Voskuhl would be signing elsewhere, the Bobcats made a deal with second-round draft pick Jermareo Davidson.
Davidson, acquired in the trade that also brought Jason Richardson from Golden State, was chosen 36th overall in last month’s draft.

glad to have jermareo coming to the team, he was impressive in summer league, and was hoping he'd make the team, I think he could get some minutes in PF and C..

Let's just hope he can rebound effectively for us. Now, any word on Hollins and how he's planned to be used?

Well I'm guessing Hollins will mostly play as a back-up C while Davidson will back-up the PF position.

Great now we have 2 developing athletic centers who play a near exact game. I do like both though and their upside

Hope these words don't come back with a teaspoon of sugar, but I think Davidson is going to be a player. No special reason I just have a feeling about the kid. :g:

i dont really know that these two guys (hollins and Davidson) have that similiar of a game. Davidson looks to have a nice jumper from outside and some pretty nice moves in the paint. while Hollins is much better defensively and is more of a give me the ball and let me dunk, than a back to the basket guy.

i actually think it might be quite a good tandem. next year.

I hope at least one of thease two is ready to contribute. I still think we need a vetran point and a vetran big. This might be what keeps us out of the playoffs if we dont pick up a couple vetrans. That worries me big time.

PJ Brown would fill one of those roles dav7z.

Maybe Othella will contribute this year :D

I still say 1 year to Scot Pollard....

Yeah, they're pretty different players, actually. I think the only advantage Hollins will have over Davidson is rebounding tenacity, which neither of them is particularly strong at. However, Davidson has much more offensive game and is probably a better shot blocker as well. I don't think it will be very long before Jemareo takes most of Hollins' minutes.

I tended to think that Davidson was a better rebounder (in college anyways) than Hollins, while Hollins is a better shotblocker.

That's actually a really good option! He's basically just an eccentric version of Voskuhl; he can bang with the best of them, and can be productive at times, plus he's a quality team player. I'm on board with Pollard also!

hollins never actually had significant minutes to work on, thanks to bernie , and suffice to say both will be fighting for minutes as the season progresses or as coach vincent pleases=D

Pollard is the cheapest most efficient option for this team.
and since Primoz, and Harrington are both off the roster next year (assuming Primoz has a nother bad year) then i wouldnt mind giving Pollard more than a year contract at vet min.

i know Tamb does, but does anyone else have any faith in Primoz being able to bounce back and have the year he had in our expansion season???

Im not sure about PREMOZ bouncing back this year . I hope so . But we still get to have a veteran big just for insurance. Its just to many question marks about Hollins, Davidson And Premoz. Im on board with Pollard.

I have faith since Primoz was battling fatigue, etc etc. I just don't have a ton of it for him. I think he'll bounce back and be average and acceptable with some good games here and there, but not long term for us.
