A reliable Turkish website announced that Turkish powerhouse Efes Pilsen is close to signing one of those three players, Rawle Marshall, Alan Anderson and Coby Karl.

The manager of Efes Pilsen said that the club narrowed their choices for the new scorer player of the club to three nominees, Rawle Marshall, Alan Anderson and Coby Karl. He also added that there is little chance for the signing of Coby Karl.

So it looks like Alan Anderson won't stay with us next year either way. What do you think about it?

By the way this is the website but it's Turkish, though

Go luck AA. He's cool, but he is an end of bench guy.

Good luck to A. Anderson we just so crouded on the wings now. With playing time he'll be back in the N.B.A.

Hopefully this creates the room on the roster to bring back D.Anderson.

If Coby Karl isn't signed by the Lakers I have a pretty good feeling it will be him hitting up the Turkish league.

He was pretty good as an injury replacement and end of the roster player, but nothing to cry over. Good luck AA!

Now let's bring back D. Anderson.

I had originally created this thread as "Alan Anderson to Turkey?". It's now so unlikely, according to hoopsworld.com, he's now headed to Cleveland Cavaliers.

I've always liked AA...he is pretty good offensively and one of our better defensive wings. With the way Hammer came on tho it had to happen. If he had better handles I'd have loved to kept him as a 3rd SG/PG but oh well.

I thought this was pretty good (from Tam's Hoopsworld article):

"He was always at training camp, came to practices, came to games, but he wasn't really hands-on. We spoke a few times, individually, but he never really addressed the team. He would pull us aside every now and then and say some encouraging words and tell us what he thought we needed to do. He emphasized that I need to have confidence in myself, versus him having confidence in me. I have to believe in myself before anybody else will. Like, if I was out there and didn't take a shot with confidence he would probably say something to me, tell me to work on that specific thing. I should know I can make it before I even take it - things like that. He really tried to build us up."

I like that. Jordan doing that with our young guys is valuable stuff.

Fair to say that he's learnt from his mistake with Kwamee? I know that Kwamee was said to be "his pick" but the most troublesome thing about that whole chapter was hearing just how hard Jordan would ride Kwamee.

Sounds like MJ has come to the conclusion that it's best to take a step back and watch from a far and offer more postive stuff than negative.

I wish AA well. I liked him and thought he was a hard worker and compared to Hughes, he's going to look like an all star shooter on the Cavs roster!!

AA was the guy early last year when...**fade to flashback**

I'm standing up in the stands watching the jumbotron in the dark arena as a pretty and well-endowed young lady is doing a very nice job singing the national anthem.

The jumbotron starts scanning the players lined up on the court and passes by Alan Anderson, just as he's grinning and squeezing his hands over his "breasts".

I thought "uhoh". A few days later he was waived. **return to realtime**

They did bring him back though. Hey, we've all done stupid things in our lives, we just don't get caught on a jumbotron though we hope :P

To Cleveland eh?

Besides LeBron, everyone on that team is nothing better then a Bench Player.

Man Kobe and LeBron are gonna have crappy seasons next year if those teams GM's dont start making some moves.

AA goodluck.

Hello there. I'm a Cavalier fan looking for a heads up on Alan Anderson. From the little I have seen he seems like a steady player with decent fundamentals without really having a defined strength or go to move to be a significant contributor. We have some holes in our roster, but the swing positions aren't really a problem although we are letting David Wesley go (thank god) and really want another player ahead of Ira Newble in the rotation. So he'd only be a guy who plays minutes here and there.

So is he worth a look for a minimum contract?

Hes no allstar or nothing like that. But hes decent at coming off the beanch and giving you a spark. Hes worth vetran min. Hes got a nice up side , he could become solid peice to your club . He has the ability.

He's a good defender and has got some offensive game. When he headed into the draft he was considered a late 1st-mid 2nd round pick.

He just can't handle the ball, but would be a decent 2nd/3rd string SG/SF. He's got the size and tools to be a solid bench player that can play both ends of the floor.

Vet minimum he'd be worth it for sure. He at least won't get injured all the time like Larry F*ckin Hughes. Say goodbye to Newble! :cheers1:

Thanks for the info. If we could somehow dump Damon Jones and Ira Newble there would be some spot minute duty for him at the Cavs. Right now I'd take anything seeing we drafted noone, traded noone, signed noone, and resigned noone. This has been one boring offseason as a Cavs fan.

You guys on the other hand.......

I honestly dont think AA will be of much help in Cleveland... but good luck to him.

Alan Anderson made his Euroleague debut with an impressive way. His team VidiVici has won, and Alan has scored 28 points.

By the way, I'm very sorry ziggy, bumpus, eaten and mustachio for not being available for a very long time. I couldn't do anything as a moderator. We've moved to another house and I still have no internet connection. Hopefully it'll end soon but probably I'll be out of duty for a longer time, even I can't find time to remain as a decent poster of the forum. I want to apologize to all of you.
