I was just thinking, outside of the PG and PF positions, the bobcats are extremely deep.
they will probably have 9 players that will play extensive minutes next year, which will keep the team fresh and make injuries less damaging.
i expect felton, carroll, richardson, wallace, morrison, dudley, herrmann, okafor, primoz (sadly), and may (maybe) to play at least 10+ minutes a game. davidson and hollins can be worked in as well

We have two things to consider though:
1. We have no depth at pg and little real depth at the 5, which are the two most skilled positions. It's easier to play a sg as a sf or sf as a pf. But it's hard to find a guy on your bench to play a post game or handle the basketball. So, we're seemingly thick at the other positions, we still really need depth at those two spots.
2. A lot of our guys are big question marks. I have a lot of hope for all of them, but we're not sure Dudley, Davidson, Ammo, Hollins, or Hermann are going to be effective over the course of the season. I think Hermann and Dudley are safe bets for solid production, Ammo will have his moments, but the other guys are big question marks.
We should be fine, but we can't get too ga-ga over having a bunch of SFs on the team; that's the probably the easiest position in the NBA to find players. We need to get another pg for sure.

I think are free agency signings are pretty much done except for a few backups, Ryan Hollins looked much improved so I could see him pushing Primoz for the back-up center position, we are loaded at PF, SF, & SG, and then their the point, we need some more guys their, Felton will do good, but we need more, I'm thinking Bobby Brown and some one else...Brown looked good in Summer league with 4-5 assist per game and was third in apg in the league, so I think it's possible he could be coming in as a back-up....

We weak at the one and five and we need two veterans through trade or free agency even if we have to give up a wing player. Bobby Brown might be ok as a third point but i would feel a lot better if we had a vetran back up Felton.
All so if Okafor goes down at all we in serious truble at the five.
If they are so deep then go out and get someone to play inside with Okafor.

It's very frustrating with bigs being so damn expensive and never getting equal value going trading small to big. GUR!

Meh, it's probably some corny big anyway. What good big is there in the free-agent market anyway?? Unless, we are trading someone...

Its not much left as far as bigs go and i hope to hell we not done for the year inproving the team. No offence to all the Morrison fans but its starting to look more and more like we going to make one last trade . I dont know who ,or who for, but things are just to damn quite in the Bobcats camp. Just a big guess but i kinda think we might be after Gooden from Cleavland and we waiting on Verigo to sign . Then we get great value for Gooden to get them back under the lux tax . The reason i think we not done is the Oakfor extenion has not even came up after the Wallace signing. Im hoping we got one more great move up our sleave be for season starts. Its still a lot of good back up points out thair on the market CHEAP but i even think a point is on hold to til after we add that one more decent big who will contribute as a starter or a quility back up is decided on. See this big might put us over the cap so we have to do that first be for the point and a Okafor ext.
Hope im right about this because i belive with out one more Quiliy big we screwed.
The most tradeable players are wings .
That means we looking at Dudley,May , Morrison , a Premoz but i kinda doubt that, a big for a big . If we lucky we might find a taker for Harrington because of his favorable contract.
But im like a lot of you guys . Im losing patiance and thinking we cant be done. Do any of you guys think we go into season with what we got now . Are we done and just going to fill the roster with mim contracts. Damn i just hope not . We need two servicable players. See we trade a wing for the big. then sign a Vetran point and a young point. That gives us three points and that one more big we need so badly. Any ideas of a wing package and even draft picks. For what big. only example[Morrison for a Goodon]
I would like to create some Bobcat trade rumors. Give it your best trade possable. To inprove this team.

If Primoz can play the way he did the first 2 years and if Ryan Hollins can do more damage to the other team than to himself, then I think we are good to go at center, but what are the chances of that happening?

So whats your best trade idea to give us that one more player who can take us deep into the playoffs.

Hah, Dav...I came up with something similar just the other day!
Assuming we have approx. 7 million free if we renounce Touche' and Derek Anderson, sign Derek for the vet minimum and take one of McLeod, Lucas or Brown at a minimum salary. We should be able to do that for roughly 2 million bucks. We then offer Harrington straight up for Gooden, giving them around 5 million in cap savings to either just squeek by under the cap or be slightly above after resigning Varejao.
We would probably have to do Primoz instead (but always start out low), but since without Gooden they'd only have 3 guys 6'10" or better getting a big back should be attractive IF they really want to not pay luxury money. There's no doubt Gooden would be an upgrade to the status quo, and he only has one more year after this upcoming season.
Same concept as the JRich trade really, utilizing what capspace remains as an asset.
