Hey,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to NC (from PA), still a Cavs fan but I'll be trying to learn about and support the Bobcats since I now actually live close enough to an NBA team to go to games. I'm really homesick being 9 hours away from all family and friends, and can't wait for the new NBA season to start and finally lift my spirits! I hope to make "friends" with many of you and "enemies" with none of you. Forgive me for being, first and foremost, a Drew Gooden fan.
Even with the duck tail?
Welcome to the Bobcats extended family! Good to have you on board.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to going to games!!! I can't wait!
Actually, as of yesterday, the duck tail is gone. Pretty much everyone on the Cavs forum is celebrating. I hated it at the beginning, but then Drew fans realized it was fun because it was so reflective of Drew's personality - only Drew would do something like that! So I didn't mind it after a while. But I'm definitely happier that it's gone.

We're glad to have you here, I promise you that if you give us enough time, we'll have you fully converted from a Cavaliers fan into a Bobcats fan
Welcome aboard!

Welcome! I'm from Columbus area, gotta have hometown love for the cavs, but the bobcats are my team.
Good to have another fan. And yes, only Drew. Only he could have that moronic hair on his head. Makes me wanna hit him with a basketball in the head.

Welcome to North Carolina!
This state as lots to offer, so make sure you take advantage of your location. Mountains to the west, the ocean to the east, and believe it or not, plenty of sports to get you through the year!
As for the Bobcats, the arena is great, and the team puts out a really good product. You'll see that the squad has a knack of making you want to pull for them. They play hard to win games, which as a fan, is all you can ask for.

Welcome man, it's nice to have you here, I have family in Ohio, so I go there once or twice a year and love the Indians, I pay attention to the Cavs, but not a huge fan. Family is from Canton and a small town in Tuscarawas County, not sure how far you were from them, but once again Welcome to the forum, and welcome to NC...

Thanks for all the replies and all the welcomes - sounds like a great group of fans. I'm looking forward to talking with some of you in the future. Sounds like the Bobs are a team with lots of support, that's great.
I don't know if you'll have me fully converted... Being a Drew fan first and foremost, I go where Drew goes. And I have a big love for Gilbert Arenas. But I love to love, so I'm sure I'll get into the Bobs and have big love and support for them soon.

First let me clear up, I'm a female. I'm actually not a baseball fan at all, but my parents are big Pirates fans. And my dad's side of the family is basically at war over Steelers/Cowboys. Half like the Steelers, half like the Cowboys. I'm not a football fan either though, just NBA for me. I wouldn't mind seeing the Panthers play though in person, but that probably won't happen.
My dad is actually a big Duke fan... Does anyone know, are tickets impossible to get for Duke games? I'd love to get him tickets for a Christmas present or something.

Duke tickets arent impossible to get at all.. just pricey.
a Duke v Carolina ticket is impossible at duke so just forget that unless your loaded. other tough games are Maryland, Wake, basically most ACC games really.
but you can get tickets to early games against smaller opponents at a much nicer price and probally with ease... just try stubhub.com
