This is the question that bounced around in my head today while I was supposed to be working
Do you guys think that there is a more athletic wing combo in the league today? I initially thought about the Vinsanity/Jefferson combo but Vince is 31-ish and will soon be declining and I don't think that Jefferson can touch J-Rich or Crash when it comes to pure athleticism.
What are your thoughts? is there a more athletic 2/3 combo out there?

while it is not a 2/3 combo, the suns with marion and stoudemire are rediculously athletic. raja bell is a lock down defender at the 2 spot but his pure athleticism is easily matched by wallace and richardson.

Josh Childress-Josh Smith combo would be a rival for them. Also Carter-Jefferson is still among top but, Richardson-Wallace duo is just reaching their peaks. I'm really eager to see them together on the court.

"The Best" has my vote.
What 2/3 combo compares based on athleticism? VC can't drive and do those insane dunks like he used to (course what he can do is still pretty stellar), and I've never seen Dickhead touch what Crash can do on both sides of the ball. Childress is a hard worker, but he's nothing compared to either of our guys. Smith definitely would be in the ranking...but he's more of a 4 for the Hawks anyway.

The Cats are going to have a entire new offensive game now that they have a goto man in Richardson. I'm interested in seeing what happens as far as back up players are concerned. I think the Cats are going to be considered the "Beast from the East" sooner than people think. :g:

They may not be the best scoring wise, but they are the most athletic!!

there are more atheletic players in the league, and there are more skilled players in the league.
But as a combo i dont think any two players in the league match athleticsm and skill better than those two. youd be hard pressed to pay a better combo.
Like you could put Kobe and Bron together and they would be the best SG SF combo out there(maybe ever) but you couldnt afford to do so ever.
So pound for pound, dollar for dollar, shot for shot... no SF/SG combo in the league is better. of course we havent seen them play together yet... But im hoping.
Iggy and Thad Young
Gordon and Deng
Hughes and LeBron
Rip and Tay
Wade and Wright
Ariza and Lewis
Young and Butler
JR Smith and Melo
Green and Brewer
Durant and Green
Maggette and Thornton
Kobe and Lamar

Slam thats a lot of good combos . But as i was looking through all of those . I said what two toghter is better than thease two. Its a lot of single players id rather have ,but as a combo i couldn't think of one out of that bunch . Guess in bias lol
End of the day Dav:
Out of all the guy's I listed and our boys, only one combo has the winner and the runner up in a dunk contest in the same combo!!
WE WIN!!

OK Slam, this is how I see it.
Iggy and Thad Young - Nope
Gordon and Deng - Nope
Hughes and LeBron - Hughes isn't the player he used to be
Rip and Tay - Talent yes, AthleticismNope
Wade and Wright Haven't seen enough of Wright to say
Ariza and Lewis Nope
Young and Butler Nope
JR Smith and Melo Melo is a great player, byut merely an average athlete. JR is an average player but a superior athlete
Green and Brewer Nope
Durant and Green Nope, Green is not on JRich or Crash's level
Maggette and Thornton Maybe
Kobe and Lamar mmmm... Possibly. Kobe's basketball talent is superior to everyone else's on the planet, but I daresay that JRich and Crash are as athletic as him. Lamar can't touch either

Agree Ziggy. Other's may be more productive and have different qualities, but on an athletic standpoint we stand out.
What about Monta Ellis/Stephen Jackson/bellinelli?
I just basically went through the entire league and put forward duo who I thought "might" push our guy's.
Out of all of them, I really think that Iggy and Thad would take it to them as well as Maggette and Thornton. Gerald Green and Corey Brewer might too.
Of course, a lot of it would depend on how you classify "athletic" too.

Old or not Jefferson, and Vince are the most athletic duo. I don't see what's you the idea that Vince can't drive anymore? He doesn't have to as much, he's too busy draining 3's and catching lobs from Kidd.

yea but jefferson and vince are still old. jefferson isnt aggressive as he once used to be and vince takes a few dunks every now and then.
j-rich and g-wallace may be the most athletic but time will tell to see how fast they adapt.
and in cleveland. larry hughes is not in the picture anymore. its all about danny gibson and lebron james.
