The Bobcats, believe it or not, are thinking playoffs. One reason is because new coach Sam Vincent is restructuring the offense to try and put more of an emphasis on PG Raymond Felton's ability.
I love the fact that he is trying to get the team together early for a pre-training camp workout.

I think that Coach Vincent is going to be a great NBA coach someday from the news reports and what others have said about him. I think we will be considered "The Beast from the East" by next season and no longer "pussycats" like the Phoenix fans call us. :g:

I hope Felts gets the team together.

Look at Portland, however. There ENTIRE TEAM has reported to training camp more than 6 weeks early. Now that's committment. I respect them a lot for that.

I read that about Portland, I'm amazed that a squad as young as theirs is showing that kind of maturity. They are going to be something really special in a couple of years.

I think Felton is in for a good year this year, and I think his assist per games goes up a bit this season. He is definitely our PG of the future IMO, and I look forward to him this season. Glad to see them focused on the playoffs as well...I'm also looking forward to seeing Sam Vincen't Run and Gun offense this year, I think he'll do well with the Cats...

I think that not only Ray will have a good season but the entire team is going to have a breakout year. We are going to leave folks scratching their heads for sure. :g:

(in the middle of the NBA season)

them folks:

NBAfan1:"did you hear that MJ is with the bobcats?"
NBAfan2:"so that's why they're so good these days"
NBAfan1:"man, he must've gotten his game back, and probably scoring like 20+ or
sumthing"
NBAfan2:"hell yeah! go hornets!"

NBAfan1&2 in unison:

"hooray for the CHARLOTTE HORNETS! wohoo!"

:P :P :P

Felton's assists should certainly go up this year since he is one of only 2 point guards on the roster, unlike last year when we had 3 (or 4 counting D.A.), forcing him to play significant minutes at the 2.
and tadsz: Sad, but fairly accurate, I'm afraid.

That stuff will stop once the other teams find out the Cats are a team to reckon with. :g:
