Damn i like this coach so far. He expects you to preform . He says its NO reason for a NBA player to not be able to play defence.

Me too Dav! I'm almost worried that I'm setting myself up for disappointment my hopes are getting so high.

IMO Coach V isn't going to like either Ammo or Prmoz...which is a conundrum so far as Morrison is concerned. I think he won't want to play him because of his defensive liabilities, yet we NEED to play him to up his value.

I agree we need to play him up but i got a feeling if he don't bust his tail off . He's not geting off the pine. I just think coach V expects you to preform on both sides of the ball.

Well maybe they can trade Ammo and Primoz for a really good back up big man and just play Dudley more in his spot. That would allow us to let Harrington go next season and then draft another PG and another big man. What ya'll think?

I think that Coach Vincent and the Bobcats are both going to be something very special in the NBA once he gets "His" team on the floor and playing his defensive style BB. :g:

Strangely, I wonder if this might up Ammo's value. If Vincent is a hard ass about playing D, some teams may think Morrison simply got stuck in a system he can't flourish in. In a way, it gives Ammo an excuse to not be successful. There are going to be teams who are thinking about the games where Ammo did put up 20+ points and think "what if?"

Hopefully he learns to play and D and regains his scoring abilities.

That would be a great positive for the team if Ammo could meat coach Vs expectations . I was thinking he would be show cased . But im thinking either he makes it or he don't now . Coach V is not going to play around with him.For that mater Premoz, and May too. Who ever better play defence....
And i like that attitude.................

I hope it can be a positive. Unfortunately Adam just doesn't seem to be fitting into the teams plans. With the SF/SG combo set for years to come, and with Matt having long term committments to backup duties, it seems his role with the team potentially may be short lived. This is, unless the move Crash to the PF spot and have Adam/Fabio play the SF position where they're best suited. I could see that :g:

Heh, I tried arguing that on RealGM most of the season and the other fans weren't buying it. To some extent I think it was true last year though...so maybe Ammo can find a niche' with this coach/team? He's definitely not starting, but if he can throw up some quick points while Crash/JRich are resting where it hurts them even more he can regain value.

I think he's always going to be subpar as a defender tho...he just seems to have NO footspeed.

He will at least need to learn to play angles. And quit slaping at the ball so much. Instead giving a hard foul. I know when he was a Zag he would just make it up on the other end . But he's playing with pros now instead of a half slap at the ball hes got to move his feet and force the bace line.Carroll and Fabio are both slow comrared to nba standerds.But Fabio plays angles very good and is a decent defender as Carroll puts forth the effert and getting better at it. True Morrison is slower than Carroll and Fabio but with effort he could get to average in the NBA.

I think this statement has a lot of merit. Most of us felt that Ammo was used the wrong way last season by BB so hopefully some of the GM's and coaches around the L feel the same way. He's earlier enough in his career to still have opposing GM's salavating over what he did while at school.

If he can come out on fire to start the season then it might just get the juices flowing of some opposing teams and increase his value making his rookie season a distant memory
