Yup, I got it. Yup, I can't get rid of it. Yup, I need help.
Anybody know the quick fix for this piece of crap problem? My only thoughts are to do a hijackthis run on my comp and see if I can get rid of it from there. I've ran Defender and Adaware, but even though they say I'm fine, I'm not. Any ideas?

What OS do you have? You may be able to do a system resore to an earlier date if you know when you were infected. :o

I have XP. That's what my bro said, but I was just checking to see if there was a way I could snake my way around it.

That sort of virus usually deletes and disables your restore to a previous date; or else it embeds itself on those previous points(just letting you know).
Could you do a printscreen of the error your getting, or go into a little more detail? I can probably get it fixed for you....

Sure. I just get bombarded with popups (Yes, I've learned my lesson. No more xxxtube for me).
I can run Windows Defender and get it to say my computer is fine, but I still get bombarded with popups. It's almost as if Defender is lying when it says it's cleaning out. The file name is Win32Trojan or something to that nature. Does that help at all?
It's obviously not bad enough to where it's rendering my computer useless, or else I wouldn't be on here. It's just annoying ya know?
Sorry if that was too vague, let me know if I can provide you with any more info. Thanks for your help by the way.

Alright Edrow. Here's what you'll need to do. Go into safe mode w/networking (if you need help on how to do that lemme know). Download a trial version of spysweeper from download.com. Also try these programs:
1. Trojan Hunter
2. Ewido
3. CWShredder
4. Spyware Doctor
Hope this helps out.
Also, download, unzip and run this program called webroot system analyzer. It'll scan your entire PC...courtesy of Best Buy

Hahaha. It's slowed down some, so I think I'm starting to get rid of the popups. Thanks.
