He was released by GSW and is now a FA. If we don't get Batista, what would you guys think of signing him as a backup? He'd be a viable option, although he's not the most athletic guy in the world. We may have a good chance because of Higgins being their former GM.

Considerable, yes.

I don't believe he will be a back-up for any team anymore. He wanted to leave the Warriors because he wanted playing time he desired. These two years in NBA were by far the worst tenure of his career. He's still one of the top European guards(maybe still best), he showed that in the recent EuroBasket, so in Europe he can play for any team with a lucrative contract.

He'll very likely sign for Greek team Panathinaikos. I'll keep you updated.

If we didn't already sign Touche I would have thought about it.

Didn't he torch us sometime last season? I could be thinking of someone else, but I could have sworn he had 20+ points on us last year in a game. If we can't get Batista then I say at least try to go after him.

That's the opening game of last season. We lost to Indiana and he scored 20 points.

There is very little probability of staying in the USA for next season for him.

Jasikevicius signed a contract with Panathinaikos as expected. It is a 2 year 8.5 million € deal according to a Greek website, (roughly around 10-12 million $) and that makes him the highest paid basketball player in European basketball.

WoW, even if you are from Russia, choosing to play ball there instead of the US is just looney to me. I mean we have an average temp of around 75 or 80 in the summer and about 40 or better in the winter. And he want to play where it's frigid all year round.

I guess there really isn't any place like home.
