FINALLY!!! someone who can verbalize what ive been trying to get across for months.

im not saying Ammo is the greatest player alive... im simply saying.. it is way to early for anyone MUCH LESS his own teams fans to be giving up on him.

3) The Morrison Factor
The consensus at the moment is that Morrison was disappointing last season. And while that may be true – what did everyone expect… 28 a night like at Gonzaga? – he is still a keeper. And you know what? Charlotte might just the ideal situation for him. Look, he's not going to start this year because of Wallace and Richardson, but he can be very effective coming off the bench. And plenty of guys have began their careers as sixth men – McHale from '80 to '85, Kobe from '96 to ‘98 and Stojakovic in '99 - before being ready to play big minutes. And coming off the bench will do three things: it will 1) put less pressure on him to score, 2) allow him to play against other reserves which is important at both ends of the floor and 3) he can play his natural position, which, in my opinion, is the 2.

Morrison is an adjustment guy too. In college, it took him a full year to get used to the grind, and the NBA should be no different. Morrison will only get better because of his ability to create his own shot, get his shot off (he has a high release), and rely on his instincts to create scoring opportunities. He was a mixed bag last season, stranded in some horrible shooting slumps (4-34 FG in one December stretch) combined with delirious highs (27 in a win at San Antonio and 30 in a win at Indiana), which isn't too strange for a rookie. Don't expect a Gonzaga-kind-of year this year, but don't expect a rookie-repeat either.

Ouch ,just gave Mustachio a reason to keep Morrison. We will never hear the end of it if he gets traded now. LOL

I like Morrison, but I am not against trading him if it meant making the Bobcats better in doing so. I too agree it is too early to make judgement on him. Heck how many of us were experts the first 6 months of our jobs? Give the guy a break he will get better.... :g:
