Has anyone seen a definitive tv listing for this season. I went to the http://www.wmyt12.com/sports/ "The Official Broadcasting Partner" of the Bobcats. They have are missing alot of games. It seemed as if they showed more games last year. For example they are showing a game on 11/6 but the next broadcast is 11/23. During that time, the Cats would have played 8 games (7 are home games). Are the Bobcats being aired on any other Channels this year?? :g:

thanks for the links walker... im gonna make this sticky as it will come in handy for the rest of the year. Zig... if theres a problem with that just unsticky it.

im also gonna reformat a schedule with the appropriate channel and put it in here so that if you need to know what channel the Bobcats game is actually on... then Bobcatsplanet.com is your definitive source.

Yeah, in order to get news14 you have to have time warner cable, its owned and operated by them.

I live out in the sticks and we dont have cable here, so I have Direct TV. They dont carry that channel so my only option is to buy the NBA package and since I live where I do I cant get the MYTV12 because WXII 12 covers it up.... :(

yikes davcbow.... thats freakin rough.

if i didnt have season tickets and cable... i would definetly be gettin the NBA package. Is it really pricey? cause i think its fairly affordable if i remember correctly... i know its a heck of a lot cheaper than NFL League pass.

I took a look on DirecTV's site and its 4 payments of $39.75 , so about $159 for the season.

To see the Bobcats games up here I have to pay an extra $30 per month on top of my cable package so it gets pricey but it's well worth it!

And it's the best 159 bucks ever spent. Not only do you get around 80 Bobcats' games you get all the other teams too, which helps in forming opinions about other players/teams. I'd think it'd be great for fantasy buffs.

There's blackout areas though. Luckily I'm in the woods far enough from Raleigh where it doesn't apply to me.

If I remember right you don't even get "all" the Bobcats' games either. At 360 bucks per year that's the mark of a true fan!!!

Last year it was like 4 payments of 39 bucks but I havent seen it even advertised this season, wonder whats up with that... I know they are going to offer it, lol, but when? ...:g:

You're right Spectre - there were a couple of times last season that they played a Raps game on 3 different chanels AND the Raps TV chanel (I pay extra for that too) even though there were other games (like Bobcats ones) they could have been playing.

They were NOT happy times in my house!!

i think my tv 12 comes over upn/wb right? cuz i got it like that last year...although that might just have been my cable company being awesome

but yea i dont get news 14 :(

do you guys know about sopcast? thats how i get the vikings games because they are never on tv here...so i hope they carry a lot of bobcats games

Yea I use sopcast for UFC PPV's most of the times you would probably have to google to see if they show Bobcats games and on what channel it's pretty easy to use though.

pssst.... dont mention my name but here is a resource for all you sopcast junkies like me. it has NBA games... they are kinda choppy and sometimes not available, and sometimes the wrong game... but if you have to have it like a crackhead needs a fix then this is a good option.

i use it to watch Packer games... like the one last week where they beat the Vikings!!! haha tupac.

Hmm only 66 of our games will be televised this year (one nationally) just like last year if I remember correctly. I wonder when we're gonna break that 70 barrier, is it that hard? Why do we have to miss 16 Bobcats games? That seems like a pretty huge chunk to me.

Yes, those TV12 games were aired on upn here outside of W-S also. So check those local listings when the time comes, my fellow non-Charlotteans.

Can a brother get an HD feed or what?

The production value of the games stinks!

Maybe I'm stupid or something but I tried to use sopcast and I can't find any football channels. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. Can anyone help a brotha out? On another note, I ordered nba league pass yesterday. You get an early bird special if you sign up now. It's $20 off. Not too bad. First time I've had it. I'm excited.

The games have to be broadcast in HD first and foremost, then its a matter of finding a company that provides the HD feed. ...I know DirectTV has HD and Im sure most of the cable companies do too....You also have to have HD capable equipment.... :g:

we have HORRIBLE production values, maybe this whole re-vamp thing we're doing this off-season with a new secondary logo, new floor, new theme, new website etc... the front office and Mr. Bob decided to spend some cash on the telecasts although I have my doubts.

I live right outside of Wilson, NC, so we didn't get any games on Dish Network's local channels (PBS, CBS, ABC, NBC, WB, UPN, Fox)...So hopefully I can get some games this year now that I'm with Direct TV, probably not, but still hoping...

to be honest, its not just the bobcats... pretty much all NBA teams individual coverage is bad... just not a lot of money put into it. i dont mind really as long as the picture is clear. analyst get on my nerves anyway.

as crazy as it sounds, im kinda jealous that i have season tickets and have no reason to get NBA league pass. how stupid is that. if i could justify league pass id have it in a minute!

Will the bobcats games be played over sopcast? because being a vikings fan from NC...thats the only way i can get those games heh...my parents wont dish out the $$$ for nba league pass, and i have charter cable so i dont get the my tv12, news 14 broadcasting

so if theres no sopcast....i will get to see the 1 national tv game this year in december...and hope that my cable company pulls a mcguyver and broadcasts the my tv 12 games over PAX like they did last year

My understanding of Sopcast (admittedly limited) is that someone must be uploading the video in order for everyone else to stream it. Because of the demand for NFL games, there are always plenty of people ready/willing/able to serve as the upload seeds. For the Bobcats, I suspect that the large majority of people who want to watch it are in an area where the games are already broadcast. So I bet there a) aren't enough people who know how/want to watch it, and b) aren't enough people who would stream it.

For road games where we play the Knicks, Lakers, Suns, Heat, and other large-market, hugely-popular teams, you may be able to find their Sopcast feeds and patch into Bobcats games that way.

Mustachio
10-09-2007, 07:04 PM
sorry tupac.. i merged these two topics cause its basically the same thing. if youll look back a little bit theres a link that provides NBA games... but as bobcatsden put it...

unless someone is watching the game AND willing to stream it to the internet. (which is illegal) you wont be able to see it.

but none the less you can try... that link i gave you is based in Europe and they do mostly soccer but have most every football game and also some NBA. so try that out when it comes to the regular season... other than that i dont know how to help.

Thanks,
Davebow, I live in Green Run, I was sick of watching the Wizard's on Camcast.Don't get me wrong, Ive been a Bobcat fan since day one.I lived in Raleigh from 96-03. I have to admit I was a Wizard fan when MJ was playing ball for them, but this is the only team that my energy is very positive about I can't even say
'if" when it comes to them. I believe they will be exciting or nothing else.

This is the Bobcats year.

I love this team.

DISH has opened up League Pass for the preseason games, and the CHA at LAL game IS ON Saturday night at 10:30.

I've purchased the package (and have for the last 2 years), but they usually show up thru the 1st week of the season FREE...so check your channels, which is 560 thru 570 here in Raleigh.

As long as your 50 miles away it should work.

Other than that if you have Road Runner with TWC then you can probably pick up News 14 on your TV's tuner by plugging in a coaxial cable as the signal for local channels should be unencrypted.
