There is a nice article in the Observer today about Coach Vincent's philosophy on having a tough defense. I love the ideology that Vincent is preaching (Forcing the play to the baseline, and shutting down the play from the perimeter).

Personally, I've always felt that defense really does win championships, no matter what sport. Defense is a skill set that can be taught into a player, regardless of his talent. You guys know what I'm talking about. There is always someone on a team from the pros down to the pee wee rec leagues who may not have the offensive talent as the others, but is a lights out defender at all times (My personal fav was Jackie Manual with the Heels. The guy would come in and protect his house at all costs).

Anyways, my point is that we already have the offensive talent. If our defense can play as good as I think they will be able to with Coach Vincent's philosophy, we will be a force to be reckoned with.

Thoughts...arguments, etc?
