We have all noticed his inproved play on offence . And have heard rumors hes inproved on defence. His stock has hit bottom and is riseing up again. Other GMs should be starting to take notice about now. If he has two more weeks of solid play . His market value should be at about 80 percent of what it was when we drafted him.Coach V keep show caseing him til we dump him .People are starting to take notie this artical is proof.

Off-topic, but I wanted to plug the column's author, Tony Meija. He's one of the best NBA columnists anywhere. Every article is a must-read.

His rookie season in Charlotte was so bad that he's already been written off. At 23 years old, I've already heard how this guy is done, how he conned his way into the lottery.....

That really pisses me off too. It's not Ammo's fault he was drafted too high. If we had taken him mid lotto, we would have all been thrilled and it shouldn't be held against him that he was drafted #3.

Same could have been said for Brandon Wright. If we had of had the 3rd overall pick last draft and taken Wright at 3 I would have freaked out.

But I was more than ok drafting him at #8 (if we had of kept him) - which was more like his rightful position IMO.

thats very true, it could be like taking mario williams #1, everyone thought he was drafted too high, but is playing much better in his 2nd year. morrison will show up while playing less, but more effective minutes

Don't forget 2006 was the year that the high schoolers weren't allowed to jump to the pros, and it produced a weaker class. Realistically if he were in the draft in 05 or 07 he should've been picked around 6-12. I haven't given up on him though, one of the reasons MJ picked him over Gay was his work ethic. He has showed up to camp with more bulk, a better sense of defense, as well as more agressiveness going to the hoop. Lets look back at the end of the season and see how he did before calling him a dissapointment at 3.

But we never get mad or take each others statments personal. Thats just part of waht makes Bobcatsplanet the biggest and best messege board thair is about the Bobcats.

He has us at 22nd in the power ratings which is complete bunk.... Morrison is alot better along with the J-Rich trade and pickup of Davidson. The Dudley pick and plus our other guys seem to be getting better too. Come on 22nd? Give me a break.... :g:

Didn't you know? Sean May was the difference between Finals and fringe playoff team!

These idiots don't seem to grasp that we played .500 ball thru a big chunk of last season with his fat butt riding the pine in street clothes.

Exactly! May, while nice potential, is not proven in any way. I am pleased to hear that after surgery, they found the problem was not as extensive as they thought. But, with him having to take it easy now for at least 6 months, I fear his conditioning (of lack thereof) will just get much worse. I honestly do not expect him to play for us, but who knows. Anyway, he was not the difference last year, and will not be this year. The men on the court will decide our fate, and I rather like who we have playing for us! Damnit!

I have been reading Bobcatsplanet for some time before creating a profile, and I agree it is the best. It is much more positive than some of the observer posters who try to outwit each other with snarky comments. About ammo, If we could get a good big man for him then i would agree. Who, I don't know. I have liked what I have seen from Ammo thus far in preseason though, and if he is substantially better this year I wouldn't want to trade him.

You know since May got hurt last year Ive never really considered him as a player on our team. We were 33-49 last year without him, so with all the pickups which has made us better we should at least hit the .500 mark. I think we are at least 8 wins better this season, depending on injuries.... :-\

Now next season I think we can be beasts in East, because we should get his doughnut butt back and with the draft picks and free agency market, we should be ready to give it a real run. I'm hoping we can do it this year but also trying to be realistic.... :g:

I have always thought that he was a very good player, and will be a great one. I hope he is a player for us. Not many players have great rookie seasons and he certanly didn't have one.
As for being 22nd, well if we aren't healthy we could be that bad. I don't see it though, as long as we have oak in the middle and Felton passes more we should be better than that.

May is in a contract year if we chose to let him go. He's not been healthy long enough to know weather or not to keep him. Do we pick up the option or let him go , With the big Free agent class next year. To me it's a catch 22 [ damned if you do and damned if you don't]

As for our record . It will be hard to end up 22nd as deep as our beanch is.Ever one of main [core players/ role players ]is on the rize of thair carers.
