I wish that would be the line up. But i think he goes safe and starts Primoz in place of Fabio.
As far as the 2nd team . Carroll will be the first off the beanch, Then Fabio. Torch ,D.Annderson ,Dudley, Davidson, Hollins,
The IR will be , Morrison , May , Harrington,
None of thease guys will be any use at all this year.
Kinda sucks ha??????????????????????????????

the charlotte observer said today that primoz will be starting at center :(
however, that makes the starting lineup a lot easier to predict
felton
richardson
wallace
okafor
primoz
while this is not the best offensive lineup, primoz will at least provide a big body to box out and be in position to get rebounds, which the team really needs right now

Yeah it does...

In theory, it provides a big body to box out and grab rebounds. In reality, not so much, as Primoz is a pretty sorry rebounder for a big man - then again, so is Walter. What's my point? Not sure I have one. How about this - I'd prefer the lineup be ray, jason, crash, walter, and Emeka even if it is a small lineup, because if the two players we're contemplating are poor rebounders, then I'd rather have the one who provides more outside of that - and based on last season, Walter is that guy.

Thats what Im talking about, if we need to go big then start Primoz; do it all depending on the team we are playing.... :g:

Give Primoz a little cradit. He's better than Walter seting picks and is great on a pick and roll. That should open up OK50 down low and Wallace and Rich should see more one on one. Some one has to commit to Felton, leaves Primoz as a outlet. It might just work better than with Walter. dontno, Personally i like Walter better.

I think Primoz will be alright this season but I also think with Herrmann they can be a little more explosive in scoring. We will see how Primoz does starting Friday night.... :g:

DANGIT DAV7 I was so hoping to go 2 post agreeing with you.
Why does anybody have to commit to Ray? He can't hit the broad side of a barn! I'd give Primo the nod for the first month, let him get used to playing and see what he's done. If he flops, then yank him and go with the smaller line up.

John so far you right about guarding Felton. But damit i got Carolina pride . I will NEVER admit to no one Felton can't shoot. It will take at least two players to hold down Felton.

I think if you are playing to win, then you have to emphasize an Okafor/Hermann frontcourt with the players we have. We cannot afford to give Brezac an audition for a month. He can show us what he has (which actually we know what he has) by playing scrub minutes. If he earns more, then fine; but his defense must improve for me to want any part of him alongside Emeka.
Likewise, if you're going to be giving out developmental minutes at odd times; I'd throw them straight at Hollins and Davidson, not Brezac. Both of those guys have a great deal of "upside" that with playing time will likely yield very positive results for the team's future. Brezac has none, and will likely be gone after this year. He is what he is at this point.

I agree with your point and think Primoz should be the backup C, but if we go letting him and Harrington go next season that will leave us with an "iffy" May coming back as far as big men go and Hollins, hummm kinda thin in the middle dont you think? They will more than likely resign Primoz since he has only been in the league 6 years and draft a big and also another point gaurd or work out a trade of some kind. Thats the way I see things going.... :g:

Yea I see starting like this...
PG: Raymond Felton (Jeff McInnis, Derek Anderson)
SG: Jason Richardson (Matt Carroll)
SF: Gerald Wallace (Walter Herrmann, Jared Dudley)
PF: Emeka Okafor ( Walter Herrmann, Othella Harrington)
C: Primoz Brezec (Ryan Hollins, Jermareo Davidson)
And ending like this...
PG: Raymond Felton (Derek Anderson, Jeff McInnis)
SG: Jason Richardson (Matt Carroll)
SF: Gerald Wallace (Walter Herrmann, Jared Dudley)
PF: Walter Herrmann (Jermareo Davidson, Othella Harrington)
C: Emeka Okafor (Primoz Brezec, Jermareo Davidson, Ryan Hollins)
As you see some names are listed twice, mainly because I see them possibly playing more than 1 position...I think Jermareo Davidson surprises people and gets a good amount of playing time this season at Center, setting him up to be a possible long term center...

yeah davcbow, we'll see. I've had the impression that the only reason he's on the team this year is because; with his players option last spring, that the Bobcats were the only team that would sign him above the minimum, mainly because they had no choice. If he had not taken the option with the Bobcats, he'd likely be playing in Europe now.
So depending on how this year goes, will tell where he is next year.
I don't really see us any thinner in the frontcourt if Brezac is off the roster :P, I tend to think he makes our frontcourt thinner.
I see many are encouraged by Primo's presence in the lineup, and I hope you all are right and I'm wrong, but so far; with all the games I've seen with Primo starting; I'm not encouraged.
Okay; I've been as mean to poor old Primoz Brezac as I can stand. I will now put on my nice guy hat and leave it be. Go Primoz!

ALong13 I agree with you for the most part, with a couple refinements....maybe more hopeful than real.
I think (hope) that Dudley moves into the prime SF backup position behind Wallace; assuming Hermann gets major burn at PF.
I think (hope) that Hollins can improve and move ahead of Primoz as backup Center. He is such a tremendous athlete. With a few skills, sheesh.
I just don't think Davidson can play Center. His game is mostly facing the basket and moving without the ball. He is not physically strong (though I'm sure he could put my lights out - I hope Primoz doesn't put a Slovenian hit out on me :-\). Putting him at C REALLY derails his gifts (kind of like moving Okafor to PF in the opposite sense LOL).
