View Full Version : We're gonna be so much better without BK
You just wait and see. No more, two PG line-ups. No more wasted possessions because of senseless dribbling. No more idiotic last second shots.
This team is gonna win at least 10 more games this year just because they don't have that cancer hanging around.

Funny how you see a problem, wait for years thinking nothing can be worse...if ONLY we can get rid of this one piece that's hurting our development we'll be so much better.
Then we re-sign Touche'.
No doubt God has a sense of humor.

i am skeptical that giving more minutes to a worse player (Brevin was a better backup point than McInnis) is going to help this team significantly. Are you implying that last year's team would have made the playoffs, if only Brevin had not been on the team?
I will agree that getting rid of Brevin should only help Felton's development...but that is something that we will not see a payoff from this season.

I think the point is, Brevin was hurting Felton's development, and I'm glad he's gone... but that doesn't mean we should've re-signed McInnis.

Exactly, re-signing McInnis was a BAD MOVE in so many ways! Especially the way of him being our PRIMARY BACK-UP PG! I hope to God DA is the one backing up Felton most of the time.

I was not arguing that removing Brevin was a good move, or that bringing Jeff McInnis back was a bad one as well. I was just skeptical that removing Brevin is going to lead to a 10 game improvement for the team.

Oh, right. Even if a 10 win improvement happens, it won't be because we got rid of Brevin Knight. More likely the things we added, instead.

He sure does.
The thing that I see with Brevin is that we just couldn't win with him in the lineup. I know crash was out early last year, but even when Okafor was a monster in November we started out 7-21 before Felton took over.
BK wasn't just a back-up last year, he was the primary player in that offense most of the time and he played WAY too much. I had come up with a tremendous statistic on the bobcatsfans board that showed how much better we were in every way when BK was out injured last season and how much worse we became when he returned and played at least 25 minutes. I can't be arsed to do it again but trust me the proof was there. He held this team back for three straight years but not this season.
