Important Week

This will be an important week for the Cats to prove what they may have for the year.
We have Phoenix on Tuesday. News is that Amare, is only day to day as he sat out Sunday's gave vs. Cavs. The knee on which he just had surgery is troublesome for him. TOO BAD YOU LOSER! WE can win that home game if we play well. With Touche' playing solid D, I expect the 2 PG system with him hounding Nash hard. We don't need Ray expending all his energy trying to guard Nash, that is like running suicides all night long. Then, we get no rest as we have to go to Philly Wednesday. (Another reason for Touche' to gurard Nash on Tuesday) This off a tough home game vs. Suns and Philly will have had 4 nights to rest. Maybe they will be rusty. Then, on Friday we have Indy - undefeated at this point like Charlotte.
We could actually lose all 3 and play well. That is my worst fear. One of three is important for us, but I would be very very very happy if we win 2 of the next 3. If we start off 4 and 1, that is something to build upon for the rest of the year. (I don't dare hex us with thinking of 5-0 start.)

We could easily lose all 3 of these, but should at least get 1 and maybe 2. Phoenix has Steve Nash, and even if he was surrounded by scrubs (he ain't) his teams will always be tough to beat. Those other two are playing well, much better than predicted.

I think we'll get 1 but hope we get 2 out of 3.

We could win all 3 or we could lose all 3. I'd be ok with just winning 1 out of the 3, but I see us winning 2 of the 3. If Amare doesn't play on Tuesday then I could definitely see us winning that game, but I think the games againast Philly and Indy are more winnable. 4-1 would be looking pretty nice after the week is over.

No reason we can't end the week 5-0.

The Suns will be tough - but less so without STAT.

I love the confidence Slam; I just did not want to be the one who jinxes us. You have high enough Rep points to be forgiven, I don't yet. But you're right. I think we are playing well enough to get there.

**Are you guys concerned with how many minutes are starters are having to play this early in the season? We have to get minutes for Carroll, Hermann, Jermareo and company. If not, our starters will be completely spent by the mid point and we will lose their effectiveness. Opinions?

If Amare doesn't play on Tuesday then it'll be the perfect time to get Davidson some PT. The Suns don't really have any other bigs besides Amare unless you wanna consider Diaw and Marion as bigs. Coach V is really gonna have to start testing our bench. Hermann and Carroll should definitely be getting more minutes. Felts, G-Wall, JRich, and Oak can't continue to get 40+ minutes every game. That'll kills us in the middle of the season.

I don't mind our starters logging big mins now to get us out of the gate, but as soon as we start having some of those west coast swings and 4 games a week, V will have to go to the bench.

Playing good ball we can win all three. None of those teams are unbeatable, We just dont never seem to match well against the Sixers.

I agree. I fully anticipate getting my "boo" on when Amare is announced tomorrow (if he has the balls to play). If I can get the seats I got Friday, a platform of fold-out chairs sitting above the last row in the section behind the visitor's bench, there's an outside shot he could hear it :wink:

That said, I'm with davcbow: there's no reason to look ahead. One game at a time is the way to a healthy and happy fan!
