It was a great win tonight guys and we looked good in alot of areas except for the bench being flat in the 4th. We will have are hands full tomorrow night being we will be tired and atlanta has had some rest. Lets hope they come out flat and that we are still on a streak....I feel good about this game so Im hoping hard for 5-3 when its over.... :g:

Most starters didn't play extended mins so that helps us. Atlanta is a quick flight to . So that wont hurt.
The bad thing is we don't match up well against them . Both teams seam to be close at ever position. Both teams are on the up rise, Shoud be a good game.

Game key we SHOULD force feed OK50 early and often to to take advantege of thr rookie. Carroll could play a big part in this one two . The next five are winable we need to start a streak. GO Bobcats...............

We'd played a great game tonight. Hopefully our momentum will carry us to another victory tomorrow night. I think it's gonna be a very close game. I'd say we're about even in every position expect PG. I think he have the advantage there with Felton. I'm expecting a big game from him tomorrow.
Felton and EO50 will be major factors tomorrow.

I see a 95-92 win for us tomorrow.

I'm too scared to even comment on this game after what happend last week when we played a Tuesday home game, and traveled on Wed. to play a rested team and got tarred and feathered. I'll be at work, so I'll have to tape it, but I think we have a decent shot at this.

I agree with Wallace15, we have a huge PG advantage, and a good PF advantage for that matter. If GW can get inside cranky Josh Smith's head, I like our chances even better!!

Found this in the ESPN recap of last night's game:

Vincent said he's "pushing" F Othella Harrington to test his left knee for the first time Wednesday in Atlanta. Harrington is recovering from arthroscopic surgery.

Maybe we'll see the big OH play a little. You never know, he might surprise us all.

Muttley: If Othello plays tonight and scores at least 8 pts and gets 4 brds, I will bend over and kiss my own ass. I'll do it, and then come back here to tell everyone I just did it. Now, if he does do it, just know that it will be the one kiss I can say I did not enjoy, but which was well worth it.

Seriously, I might have to get in on that one too.

Crash LOVES the Hawks, so I'm hoping for an especially nasty game from him. Still, you can't sleep on these guys.

I think Othella has been medically cleared for a while to play and frankly, I don't think his knee is supposed to get any better even with another month of rest. He just needs to get out there and see if the knee can hold up because the Bobcats need to know. If the knee can't hold up and they decide to put him on IR or he retires, then I think that would open up another roster spot for the Bobcats to go after a veteran big man.

Go Bobcats!

My mama taught me to never tell a lie. I'll do it, even if I bust my sternum trying bend my body that far.

Regarding J's comment above:
I am rather pissed with Othello. I think MJ, Bernie and Coach all know he is cleared and is in position to try and play. I think he is stalling as he fears he will not be able to hold up. if that's the case, then he can be our 3rd man out and we can go get a 16th player. If he is stalling, this is only hurting the team. It is a selfish crappy way to treat a team paying you big money. He wont be broke, hell he'll be paid by Insurance and us to some extent. ***If he tries and actually plays and continues to play out the season, even with only modest production, then I will gladly apologize to him for doubting him. But, I tend to trust my instincts, and my instinct tells me "sonmething is rotten in Denmark, and it aint the fish - it's Othello".

That concludes my Othello rant for the day. Thank you for your time and attention. Peace to all my BobcatsPlanet friends.

this game seems like it will be easy, but the hawks have some very good players. each one of their starters is solid (they don't have a primoz haha) and each of them could score 15-20 tonight. the cats are gonna have to play well, and i think they will as long as g-force forces himself to drive to the hoop and get free throws

This will be a good game two teams, both fairly young and both improved greatly over the offseason I'm thinking we can win this game we can't let JJ get hot or it's a wrap. I think Emeka vs Horford will be a great match up to watch out for hopefully we can improve to 5 wins tonight.

Player of the game = Blockafor.

we are scoring no where near as many points as we should

ALong13
11-14-2007, 09:22 PM
We finally score 100+ and what do we do defensively, give up even more....J-Rich and Wallace were back, sadly Okafor wasn't there offensively, and Ray wasn't doing too good of a job passing, from stats looks...still thought Jermareo, Walter, and Dudley should have gotten more time...

BUT in good news look at HOLLINS' stats!

11 points, 6 rebounds 2 steals, 2 blocks!

Hollins > Brezec....I say start 'em since they don't want to give Jermareo or Walter a chance...

That first quarter killed us, minus that quarter we would have won this game....

goddamnit this game makes me mad, no reason we should be losing to the hawks, though joe johnson and his squad are finally looking like a team not a pick up game of athletes, but still... weve got to make our shots and play better d if we want to win, and we need to take advantage of games that we should win

I'm sitting her absolutely stewing mad! We lost, and because of one factor. WE HAVE DAMN STUPID IDIOTS PLAYING FOR US!!!!!
My God, are our guys really that damn STUPID!!!

Yes, we came out slow. Got down by 18 in the 2nd qtr. Then we made a run. In the 4th, we had the lead cut to 7 a few times, and we had the ball. The, our guys just had BRAIN LOCK!! We're trying to run when the opportunity is not there. We are trying stupid ally oops when they are not there. Hell, Gerald drove the middle, they give it to him, his is 3 damn feet from the rim, and tries to throw out to someone. Ball is stolen, they get a 3 pt play. Our guys cannot Full Court Press well enough to stop a High School Team!!! We suck at it, and kept trying it for 6-7 plays in a row, They beat the press each time and scored easily each time. PANIC PANIC PANIC!! That is what I saw, and it pisses me off!! We beat ourselves!

J-Rich and Gerald are out of their scoring funks. Hollins can play some offense, but DAMN, Horford schooled him badly and made Holins look bad defensively!

I'm so damn mad, because we threw one away because of STUPIDITY!!!!

ohara831
11-14-2007, 09:34 PM
good!! Everyone seems to feel like I do - Pissed off at our play. How can Childress score 20 pts on us? How!?

And Othello sucks because he is chicken crap of playing and wont go on the IR so we can get another player. I hope his damn nuts fall off!!!!

ALong13

Tonites game was just chaos for the Bobcats both on Offense and Defense.

Primoz is hopeless; fortunately Sam seems to have noticed now, taking him out very early.

The Hawks KILLED us inside early. We were in the "poor us we played last night and they didn't" mode which is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. We weren't moving on defense, not getting back.

Agree with you O'Hara, I thought Wallace's dumbass stolen kickout pass was the end of the game. But it actually wasn't we still came back some more times only to find new ways to blow it. Frustration. Except for that pass and more freaking missed free throws, Wallace had a pretty good game. But that pass is what sticks in my mind.

I thought Hollins played very well, for his first real extended action. Yeah, Horford got his, but I wouldn't say it was totally because of Ryan.

And OMG you're right our "full court press" is disasterous, more like the "please pass over us for an open sensational dunk" defense is what I saw. YIKES.

I was worried about this game, because I have a hunch our guys don't have the heart yet to work through back-to-backs. You now when you only make $10M a year, its damn hard to have to work two nights in a row.

I'm happy to put this one away. Rest time for Saturday against the Sonics.

ohara831
11-14-2007, 09:53 PM
Some of Ray's points at the end of the game were useless. I am not happy with only 5 assists and 5 TO's. Honestly, I think Ray is more inclined to be a 2 Guard who occasionally serves as the PG to relieve the True PG. If that is the case, then fine. Let him back up J-Rich and get me a damn starting PG who can take care of the ball and make assists!!!!!

****Hell yes!! I'm raging right now!!! Honestly, Touche' is more of a pure PG than Ray, and that kills me to say it. I know some of you, my fellow Bobcat fanatics, will not like to hear me say it, but it needs saying. There are MORE of you out there who agree with me on Ray, I know it. It's time to vent. Ray, are you a PG or a 2 Guard. make up your damn mind. And Sam, you decide too!!!

MattD
11-14-2007, 10:02 PM
its because of the way he plays, he doesnt have strong enough basketball court vision to be a great distributor, doesnt have a great enough shot to be a consistant shoot first, what he does have is a terrific work ethic and amazing driving skills with the strength to finish... Here in lies the biggest problem, he could be just like jason richardson... if he was 6'6 but instead a 6 hes to small to play the 2 and as mentioned above not really a great enough distributor to become an "elite" point gaurd in the league... so basically when we resign him for an extension, were screwing ourselves, because he really is too good and to much of the face of the franchise to come off the bench, yet he is not going to be a key piece to a championship team... my 2 cents

maybe we should start another topic in bobcats discussion about this?

WarioVsMooChicken
11-14-2007, 10:27 PM
We only lost by 7 (or was it 8) and everyone seems more in rage then when we lost by 30. I'm disapointed too, because I wanted a winning record, but the first quarter killed us. Other then that, we would have won the game.

Good news is, Rich and Wallace seem hot. And maybe, Hollins can surpass all the expectations once had for him.

Also, don't complain about Felton not being a PG. Did we forget that he had 9 assists and 6 points yesterday? Some games call for him to be a true PG like yesterday and like it or not, some games require him to be an outside threat like today (granted he was off today). Felton has been one of our best players this year, and I'm glad he's starting for us.

Tough loss. I agree with you WvsMc (except I disagree with your avatar, at least this one's not sweaty, Japanese guys in fake mustaches though?) we would have been right there with them or above them if not for the 1st quarter. And Felts has played well for almost all the season, cut him some slack. Let's crush Seattle.

Damn, I was excited about seeing the game and then it get's blacked out. From what most of you are saying it sounds like we played a horrible game of "stupidity", but we only lost by 7. Seems to me if we hadn't sucked in the first that we would have won the game. Looks like Crash and JRich had great games. Hollins had a really solid game, START HIM! If EO50's offensive game had been there tonight then we win.

I'll have to view the game before I make any critical comments, but it is now obvious we are a solid C away from making the playoffs. If we stand pat, a team like the Hawks is going to slip in and take one of the final spots. I hate to say it, but judging from the score, and the offensive stats for the Hawks, this was a vintage Bernie-era Bobcats game.

Last night I wrote I was worried about this game, because it was being set up like last week's fiasco, so we're going to need to find a way to get over the back to backs, playing a team on the back-end that is rested. Quality teams can do this, especially against average squads; they'll either have to learn how to fight through it, or get prepared for another lottery season.

Wow we playing 5.00 ball against a team thet shot 68 percent the first half ON FIRE. Hell we won the 2nd half and we pointing fingers. We 4 and 4 not 1 and 7 . We just starting to learning to play toghter. I thought it was a solid effort against a playoff team YES a playoff team.
Hollins looks about ready to become a starter . [Good thing]
Coach is geting confidence in Dudley [Good thing]
He will figure out Mcinnis is geting to much burn . Then Hammer get those mins [good thing]
My only question is who backs up Hollins , Primoz or Davidson . I say Davidson .
We have NEVER BEEN 5.00 BALL AFTER EIGHT GAMES
Expectations . We not the beast of the east yet and im happy with our start.
Good second half im seeing improvement. Hate to dis agree with all you guys.

Sam Vincent: “We waited too late to really try to play with some urgency, and we let them run out on us in the first quarter, and then we realized we had to play very well to even be in this game. We’re not going to be in games if we wait until after the first quarter to start playing hard. We have to come out with a sense of urgency right from the beginning.”

Jeff McInnis said. “Even when you’re coming off a back-to-back, you can’t play like that. We just have to learn what all successful teams already know, and that’s how to win. We started off good this season, and we have to stay consistent.”

Pretty much. We came out like we were tired, and you can't do that off a back to back if you plan on going past 82 games in a season. This was especially noticable on defense, but also on offense so far as movement and screening. It looked to me like JRich was the only guy who put major total effort in that 1st quarter. Everyone else...pretty much "blah".

These guys should be used to back-to-backs. They should have been ready for a team who is just as hungry as they are to make the playoffs. It's the little things that erk the hell out of me with this team.

I'll chop the players up, and the coach too, for taking Atlanta lightly. I'm watching the games. The Catz are better then this man........Atlanta has a lot of offensive weapons, which were proven when Twiggy almost took out the whole court. Atlanta is in the division these are the games they need to win.

Do your homework, know your opponent. Back-to-Backs should never be an excuse when your trying to make the playoffs. I let the Philly game slide, because Felts was hurt, but this game can really hurt down the road.

All-in all, I want the Catz to play like I know they can, for instantace the Houston game, although they lost, they played hard.

I know I sound like a mother hen. "oh well" :)
