Saw that last night, i wanted to kick out my computer screen. He is right about the Wallace thing though, as much as I love Crash he souldn't have been taking TMac off the dribble as the final play.

I used to struggle with Simmons' articles b/c they would make me so angry.

The best thing you can do is either boycott reading them completely (Which I don't recommend, b/c some of his stuff is pretty good), or read his work with a grain of salt. He gets paid money to make fans angry, so he's doing his job. That's why ESPN Conversation is disabled on his works. ESPN knows they'd have all kinds of horrible things posted if they were to allow it.

So anyways, don't let it get to you. It makes life a lot easier as a sports fan. There are plenty of other sports writers out there who like Charlotte, Simmons just happens to not be one of them for one reason or the other (My guess is that some southern gal from the Queen City screwed him over in high school or something).

i saw that too. he hates on every single one of our players, especially okafor. while i think okafor is going to be overpaid this summer, without him we won't have a chance to win a game. we were horrible without him for those 10-15 games last year. there is no way we'll finish last in the east. 10th or better at least no doubt. even with j-rich shooting horribly, they are still hanging in games

Simmons (In June of 2008): The Bobcats are a terrible team. Did you see the way they got manhandled by the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs? What losers. Why are they even a team?

I could see him saying something along those lines. All the while, clearly ignoring the fact that we would be a fourth year team in the playoffs. What a tool. Even if we don't make the playoffs, he's still wrong about too many other things to count. I hope the Bobcats read his drivel and use it as motivation to kick ass night in and night out.
