This should definitely be a win. We're catching them on a back-to-back. Hopefully they'll beat Atlanta tonight so that'll drop them to 3-5. Then, we beat Seattle and that puts us at 5-4 and put some space between us and Atlanta.
I see Crash being player of the game with something like 25pts, 10rbs, and 3blks.
We win-108-96 8)

Oh yes, Seattle beat Atlanta :). I was reading on NBA.com that Durant hit the game winner in double OT. Even with the momentum they have it won't be enough to over come a rested Crash, JRich, Ray, and EO50.

We should win this, but we can't take it for granted.
Also, it begs the question, if two NBA teams play basketball, and there's no TV around to show it, do they make a sound?

Sonics had a tough double OT game last night I think they'll be a bit tired and we'll improve our record tonight. Reguardless I don't fear a player on there squad besides KD he can just flat out score (as seen in last nights game) but I expect J-rich or Crash to put a body on the rookie and we should get this win pretty easily.

Wow, 5 Offensive rebounds for Hollins.

Hollins was playing like a beast. In addition to the boards he must of altered 7 or 8 shots. It was like it was his paint and he dared any one to come in it. He was great on the weak side defence too.As in the 2nd Primoz got used. Carrol is consistant as hell coming off the beanch. Rich had three threes on three straight trips down the floor. Wallace stayed pissed most ot the night couldn't buy a foul . He all so got a teck because of it but still led in scoring. Felton played a damn nice game at point . I don't know his stats but his defence was steller except when he had to play Durant with Mcinniss in the game. It seemed as if he had at least 10 assist. OK50 had the fumble fingers on offence but still had about 12. And i would guess at least ten boards . The croud was quite the first half and seemed to get better the 2nd half . It's weird the firt quarter the place seems about empty . Them in the third it gets loud and seems about three quarters full. Was a great game and i had lots of fun. Oh yea my fansty player tore it up with 25pts Wilcox. Good night all around.

I have a feeling Herrmann will start getting more playing time. Primo looks better. Richardson started out bad but then LIGHTS OUT. Carrol proved he is worth his contract. Dudley did pretty bad. Harrington is...Well he's Harrington. Felton proved he doesn't need Mcinnis. Mcinnis showed that he can be good as the only PG on the court. Wallace was awesome (He does that so much, you sometimes forget to mention it). Mek did great first half and average second half, good game for him. Davidson needs more playing time.
Hollins, more and more looks like a starting C. Seems like just last year I was making fun of him (good times...good times). I love the intesity he plays with. I've never seen a player so happy to get a rebound as he looks.
I hope I mentioned everyone :P
A few more games like this for Hollins and I think he'll be ready to start. Brezec is completely useless in my opinion. Herrmann should get some of his minutes.
I expected us to get this win and we did. We were coming off two days rest and they had played a double OT game the night before, there was no excuse not to win this game.
Another day of rest and then I'm hoping for another win against Portland.

We allowed only 31% shooting from the field... A FRANCHISE RECORD!

Observations:
A game of 2 halves. At first it looked like we would just blow them out in the first quarter, but then at about the 5 or 6 minute mark Sam starts making weird substitutions, effectively killing our offense. Emeka started the game pretty aggressive and looked like he was going to have a great night, but then Sam pulled him and put in Harrington; which totally stewed Mek. He's walking off face grimacing and meets Sam in front of the scorer's table saying "What you taking me out for?" and then the same with Mokeski at the bench..."Why did he take me out? This is bullsh*t.." for real.
And Harrington of course, looked impossibly bad. He's gimpy, can barely run, well he can jog, can't hardly jump an inch ... totally uncoordinated.
So somehow we lose all the momentum, start throwing the ball away and generally looking bad. With Wallace sitting most of the 2nd Quarter, we went out at the half actually losing to these guys.
Thankfully the second half was better, with Wallace and JRich leading the way. Wallace got his technical for laying the ball down at the foul line after making a nice put-back on a drive. He had been complaining to the refs a bit earlier and they apparently didn't appreciate the gesture. I saw it coming and was like "uhoh" and yup there came the "T" and geez Wallace does the "who me?" routing lol.
The stats for the game are much bigger than I realized watching the game. So thats great! Felton 12 assists - he played without McInnis for most the second half; with no ill effects; but during the first half I was seriously wondering if he could lead this team; our 1/2 court offense is so bad...The big 4 of Felton, JRich, Wallace and Okafor all basically did their jobs during the second half tonight; and got the easy win they needed.

Hollins isn't just a beast, he's a little crazy I think. Late in the second half, after the Sonics had basically gone to their deep bench, Saer Sene dives to the floor for a loose ball and grabs it with no trouble, when out of nowhere and WAY TOO LATE Hollins comes flying through the air and rams into Sene still on the floor. Umm personal foul.
Guys behind me were yelling for a late hit and unnecessary roughness penalty :D
It's a good thing that didn't spark a brawl.

Charlotte is such a weird sports town. Y'all know by now I've got these seats behind the Cats bench. I try to get there an hour before each game, grab a hot dog or two and take my seat about 15 or 20 minutes before game time.
I'm continuously amazed at how many people drift in late. We're in the middle of our row, and tonite there was NO ONE sitting to our right at the end of the 1st Quarter, and yet by half time the row was pretty much full. Incredible. And then of course, people walk the concourse for an hour at halftime and sometimes return for the 4th Quarter.
That's entertainment!

Keetch, I got no clue how you can do it. I couldn't make tonight's game because of work, but even on weekday games when I meet my cousin in Salisbury to go to the game at 5:00, we have yet to make it before tip. Traffic is a bitch on 85 right before you get to 77. Please let me know the secret to getting there at least for introductions, much less an hour before, and you'll be nominated for sainthood!
With having a downtown arena, they really need to push the start times back to 7:30. I love it so much more than the Coliseum (and I actually really liked the Coliseum) but there is such a clusterfuck (worse than the MCI Center, or whatever it's called now, in downtown D.C.) trying to get to the parking deck, inside the arena, getting our preferred 107 seats at guest services, getting food, etc.
That said, Charlotte is definitely a "weird sports town," regardless of what time they show up for games!! No offense, Charlotteans.

Thats a great question for someone to figure out. The last Panther game I attended took me almost 3 hours to get to Salisbury from where we parked the traffic was terrible that game, Carrowinds was letting out too about that same time this was on a Sunday evening so I can imagine what a weekday game would be like. Wish I had a Helicopter..... :g:

Since this game wasn't televised, and I couldn't atttend, I can only judge by y'alls posts and the boxscore, but I'm damn happy with the win. I was figuring this was a must win due to the context of us having 2 days off, with Sonics having a 20T game the night before.
I'm really, really please with the way the offense is going the past 3 games, with GW as the primary scorer, JRich as a supporting scorer, Raymond putting up points while facilitating the offense, and Mek doing his bit. Also, it's good to see Hollins starting to carve out a niche for himself, and being a high-strung, productive C, as opposed to what Primoz has to offer.
I'm confused by Sam taking out Mek in favor of Harrington in the manner Keetch describes; wonder if there's any logical reason.
Also, enough words can't be said about Matt's contributions!! This guy is ICE, and anybody who questioned his re-signing this summer better get their A-1 sauce ready because they're going to be in for a long year of feasting on crow!
All in all, a win is a beautiful thing!

V will get it together sooner or later. Anyone think that could have been a MJ decision putting in Harrington? We will maybe hear that "Old Fella Harrington" is out for a tender knee after his 1 minute 1 foul 0/2 effort last night.

I hope to god that management pulled the "put Othella in before Herrmann or Davidson" card, and it wasn't a boneheaded move by Vincent.
Vincent can make rookie mistakes, as expected but those make me wonder "WTF ARE YOU DOIN??"
Mek is probably pissed right now for getting pulled for Harrington. Can we just cut his ass now? As I believe Wsvmc pointed out Othella was just a waste. Absolutely.

Charlotte Bobcats Head Coach Sam Vincent had the perfect plan coming into Saturday’s game against the Seattle SuperSonics at Charlotte Bobcats Arena as the Bobcats cruised to a 100-84 victory.
So what was it?
Try to wear down an already-spent Sonics team coming off of a hard-fought 126-123 double-overtime victory on Friday in Atlanta in the first half, and then deliver the knockout punch in the second half.
“The game plan early on was to get (the starters) some extra rest in the first quarter,” Vincent said. “We knew that Seattle had a tough night last night in Atlanta. We expected that their legs were going to be a little bit worn down, so I wanted to get the guys a little extra rest.”
It was a strategy to rest our guys in the 1st half while wearing the Sonics out, and it worked. We were obviously the team with the energy in the 2nd half.
So far as Harrington coming in quickly...maybe V is trying to force management's hand about getting some help down low? According to Bonnell's "observations" if Harrington can't contribute V is ready to go upstairs and fight for a change.
I find that very encouraging...because as we all know Harrington is pretty much garbage.

I thought at the time that Sam just wanted to let Othella experience a minute or 2 of court time as a welcome back kind of thing. Should be no big deal really.
Except that: the guys were just working up a sweat and had a nice game going; and shouldn't the head coach tell the team the game plan? If someone had spoken to Okafor about it, maybe he wouldn't have gotten so upset. He clearly didn't see it coming.
They could have won this in the first half and then used balanced substitutions to maintain the game in the second half. I think that might have worked better than pissing off your starting center, sending the fans to the concessions at halftime thinking their team sucks and their coach is dumb because they're getting embarrassed by the worst team in the league.
Davidson saw no playing time until the last minute of the game. Against the Sonics. That's inexcusable. At least Herrman got some time, but after sitting for so many games, right now he's kind of a square peg in a round hole.
Come on Sam.

Working off the idea that we want another big, I just ran across this on the GSW board (RealGM):
can anyone else smell a trade coming?
i heard charlotte have been asking POB seeing how short they are in the big dept.
apparently offering dudley.
This was put up by a guy with a low post count...so take it for what it's worth.
POB was a lottery pick, but his option wasn't picked up by GSW and he'll be an unrestricted FA after the season. Duds of course is ours for the next 3 seasons if we want him. POB's lack of PT (and GSW's approach to his contract) doesn't bother me very much as Nellie is well known for not liking young bigs who need work.

I think that would be a bad trade because we need the Duds and we also could use POB but the thing is we can just sign him at the end of the season if no other takers. I think we will stay the course right now and keep whom we have...... :g:
