According to the President of the Brevin Knight fan club Rick Bonnell, Othella Harrington will be making his triumphant return to the Bobcats lineup tonight against the Sonics

Also, there's some help coming tonight because the Bobcats plan to activate veteran power forward Othella Harrington for the first time this season. He's coming off two arthroscopic surgeries on his left knee. He has always been a tough and savvy defender. The question is his knee. At minimum, he should be able to deliver some smart and hard fouls near the rim, to cut down on the same from Okafor.

What do you guys expect to see from Othella.. Anything worthwhile at all?

I honestly can't remember the last time he played. Nor can I remember seeing him play at all. Does he have a Jersey, even, or will he be playing in a suit? Considering that, I have no idea what to expect of him. Hopefully a he comes in and bumps into some people in the paint, allowing us to better score inside and keeping them out of the lane. But I really don't know. I just think he should use all that weight for something.

ooo delivering smart and hard fouls is better than soft and clumsy fouls for sure, at least then you might hurt somebody. Looks like a starter to me; I'd go with a new 20 game plan and see how he works out. Whatever happens we have got to protect poor old Okafor.

I figure any team who starts a center to "deliver fouls" or "take a few fouls" is basically saying "Hell, its all we've got at the moment, sorry, our bad." Trouble is the Bobcats aren't really there, they just have a mentality of being there.

Harrington has always been a guy who could post some pretty average per minute stats so long as he didn't play more than say 5 minutes. And that was about four years and two surgeries ago. I'm pretty excited.

And Ziggy I am holding you personally accountable for the Primoz Brezac moniker under my name. I am deeply offended and am considering cancelling my subscription. Please have it removed before I get a lawyer. I have been publicly defamed.

 It was either the name, or possibly this image.

LOL Hey I KNOW that guy!

So that explains why Primo was exhausted last year. Having to carry DWade around on your back all summer has got to wear ya out, especially during games!

Giddyap!

Poor Primoz, sheesh.

I know not many are fans of Othella and a lot of us were pushing him to retire, but IMO he can't do no worse than what Brezec was doing, and I honestly hope he has a good season. I think he could help defensively, but offensively I don't see him doing much, I don't expect him to play too much tonight with it being his return, and I expect him to be a bit rusty as well despite practicing as of late...

I don't expect to much from him to be honest just a big body to spell Hollins and Brezec since they seem to be getting the majority of the minutes.

Seattle has some decent bigs...I'm predicting 3 fouls in 2 minutes. He was doing that last year without the downtime and I'm not highly hopeful of anything more tonight.

Primoz Jr. to say the least....I only hope his "locker room presence" is worth his paycheck to sit on the bench and be comic relief for being a lazy fatass.

Worse than Primoz

Wow... worse than Primoz is pretty darned bad.
I'm hoping that Vincent realizes quickly that Othella is going to bring the Bobcats nothing at all on the court so that they can cut him and grab someone out of the D-League possibly.

While Primoz is a 12th man kind of NBA guy or at least can still anticipate a nice FIBA career; Othella Harrington is no longer an NBA quality basketball player at all; by a long shot. He is not in game shape and probably never will be again.

I think he knows it already...why else tell Bonnell that he's on the verge of going upstairs to ask for inside help.  IMO V is going to give Harrington burn to prove himself right and force management to get off their collective asses.
