Any one thet saw the game tonight has to agree Hollins is turning into a beast in frunt of our eyes.
He reminded me of Zo altaring so many shots tonight . We may not need a big we might all ready have a damn nice one in Hollins. Has any one else noticed hes inproving by leaps and bounds.

What exactly was he doing? He only had 7 boards and a block, which, granted, are pretty good numbers for Hollins.

We all knew that Hollins had the potential to be a solid player, and he's showing it now. He's starting to become a beast and there's no reason Primoz should start another game.

IMO Hollins is doing very well and much better than expected. I think he is ages above Brezec on defense, and despite what the idiot Bonnell says, I think he's better offensively as well...

Jordan and Bernie have done a great job drafting late, Hollins has looked great (50th) and so has Davidson (36th). Usually that late in the draft means D-League and if for some reason you do play, you'll look awful. Kind of like how Hollins did last year >_>. Oh, not to mention other then tonight, Dudley has looked like a lottery pick.

Its all the things hes doing to night . Things thats not in the stats.
He must have altered at least six shots in the paint. Like shooting over a tall jumping tree [ he can get up]
The offencive tap outs he had i know he had three thet saved possisions.
Primoz got used bad by Wilcox . But Hollins held him in check.
Weak side defence , He seemed to cut off about ever thing coming into the lane. It wasn't nothing easy at all in the paint for them.
He just did a lot of dirty work things thet don't show up.

Good to hear! I wasn't doubting your words, but his stats didn't show all that!

All so he was all most at the three point line and hit the air for a dunk Green got knocked on his ass but stoped one hell of a one handed dunk. Hollins all so hit the free through

Hollins is so freaking fun to watch play. The anti-Brezac. I really like the kid.

Hollins plays like someone who's never played a basketball game before. It works though, and I REALLY enjoy it.

Ive been watching Hollins as of late as well as Primoz and Hollins is doing everything right he only needs to practice shooting and getting it on target, actually he has even been shooting better lately also. I think he is going to pay off in big dividends for the Bobcats once he gets his experience. We are a young team headed nowhere but up, up , up and its all starting to show. We will still have plenty of bad nights but we will also start having plenty of good nights.... :g:

Hollins has looked very solid. I have no problem trading Primoz for some meat to put on Hollins' bones.
I'm content with a 6pt, 7rb campaign. Keep it up man!

I would only make trades for Primoz (no one wants him) Harrington (LOL) and May (gets hurt alot, heals slow, good player when healthy) and then only if it were a step up.... :g:

yeah - Hollins should start, even if just for his "activity." Poor Primoz just takes up space. Hollins is everywhere, and makes us a better, faster team.

the thing about primoz is this... he is in there to hit the quick 10-15 footer and put up about 10-12 points. but hes not doin it. Hes not in there to play defense or even rebound really. he is in there to score and he isnt getting the job done. There fore Ryan should start over him.
Ryan Hollins isnt gonna be perfect and hes not gonna astound you with 20 point games(yet) but he would die for the team it appears and that in itself is worth him starting. He works harder than anyone on the court and hes 7 foot tall and fast.
ive said it from the first game i saw him. i want this kid starting and getting minutes so he can get better. The major problem i see with Hollins is he doesnt have "the touch". Hes got the size, the length, the hops, the tenacity hes got everything but.. touch. if we could get a silky smooth big man to coach him on his touch and increase his ability around the rim... we would have a star player on our hands.
whats stopping ryan hollins from being as good as Dwight Howard or at the very least Ben Wallace? we need to figure it out because to me i see all the tools, and now it looks like it might start coming together!

After reading his bio on scout and other places it seems like he was the ultimate project coming out of college. The kid was a high jump champ at UCLA so you know he has hops, but on the UCLA Bball team he didnt even average 10ppg

I totally agree with you on this one, and I think that he is starting to show a little bit of touch, if you saw his few turn around mini hooks hes had that look so sweet

Heyyy; Primoz looks better than Harrington.....LOL.... :g:

The way Harington looks he should win worst player in the leage easy. Some one is working hard with Hollins his foot work is a lot better but still needs work. Hes damn sure boxing out better. Hes all so devoloped that little half hook with his hop could be dangerous. And hes still got one hell of a dunk. His energy and hustle seem to be his biggest up side now. It's starting to really show up in his defence and protecting the lane.

he needs to work on receiving passes down low as well

Yeah, if there's one thing I hate it's seeing a pass to a big man near the hoop that bounces off of the guy's hands, but that's something that gets better with confidence and experience. Hollins is getting both of those now and will probably be getting more and more as the season progresses. I have no excuses for Primoz, though.

hollins is a good option to start for the cats, but for few other teams. he moves well and can block a shot occasionally. he can finish down low, but doesn't have the jumper primoz can have ;)
i'd start hollins just cuz he can get some boards and put backs on offense, primoz is so far from the basket on O, i couldn't imagine him getting an O board

Please tell me that there is someone on here with the same sick humor that I have who will not be able to stop from at least chuckling a little at this:
Former NBA center Mokeski ("I'm old and I'm slow") didn't react quickly enough when Brezec swung through the lane. So Brezec collided face-first with Mokeski's head.
"I have a head that's a little harder than his eye," Mokeski joked at today's shootaround.
As of this morning Brezec, the Bobcats' starting center, couldn't see out of the eye. Though he participated in shootaround and enjoyed the attention ("I'm a warrior, man!"), coach Sam Vincent said he might choose not to play him tonight unless the swelling goes down. From, surprisingly, Bonnell's blog on Charlotte.com.
"I'm a warrior, man!" ???
I can just see Vincent staring at Primoz and just shaking his head wondering what circus he's gonna sell this kid to.
Ryan Hollins may need to take his adderall, but I will be damned if I keep starting Crank Yanker's Special Ed out there...

Tonight against Portland showed that he still has trouble against bigger guys, thus having to foul early and often...

Is he seriously getting blocked by Martell Webster???????????
He truly has no clue that he is 7'1" does he? I mean, why can't he just hop a little? I haven't seen much of him playing, I guess this just reinforces the fact that he has no offensive post capabilities (well, he does have offensive capabilities).

And of course got blocked. I think they need to try Jermareo out more. To me Primo and Twiggie just take up mins. They really don't do anything. Jermareo just looks better to me. Am I the only one who thinks like this?
I think last night showed why Hollins isn't ready to take over full-time. He's good in spots but we still need a true big guy that can start and we just don't have one on the roster. Period.

He is young, he is still learning, he will have good games and bad games, I agree we need better for now but he will be there before its over and I dont think the team will be able to make any trades because we would have to give up too much to get any one.... :g:

I wouldn't mind seeing Davidson get more burn . He's a head of Hollins on the offencive end . But hes no where close on the defencive side of the ball.
I still think POB. would be a good fit for us . I think he could be had . I just don't know what might intrest Golden State. Perhaps, Dudley, or Fabio or D.A.

On that thought, I wouldn't mind seeing Hollins/Davidson play together to replace Okafor(/Brezec?) at times. Them with the other starting 3 could be very potent while allowing Oak to rest and keep out of foul trouble.
Also, I doubt any team would trade for DA. Plus, he seemed very important to our team chemistry (at least last year).
