Big game i think we can do it. I'll be there anyone one else planning on going?

I can't go to this game but maybe against Washington hopefully.

This looks winnable, that's about all I can say, since it looks like we are better at every position except C. I don't understand why Harrington would be active before Anderson. Last year Anderson played some PF and he did better then Harrington did >_>. I think Vincent is hoping Harrintgton will realize it's time to retire.

I'll be at the game as well. Actually, I'm taking my brothers and father with me too, so it should be a pretty good time.

This should be a win for us.

Wont be there but this game should be a victory for the Bobcats. We are better at every position except center (but every team is better than us at center).

Coming off a win over Seattle with a day of rest. I definitely see us winning this. Crash or JRich will get 30pts+.

Nope. Unfortunately, can't get the time to make another game 'til Saturday. I really really hate this weighted schedule. I'm having to miss out on too many games because they're one right after the other in November and December. That said, I'll be going to just about every home game after the All Star break cause there's only a handful of home games left. Oh well, as long as we win, that's what counts!

This is a really big game for us, as well as the Wiz game on Wed. because of what we have coming after that. There's no real excuse for not coming out revved up and ready to beat down these guys, but you never know :-\

I was just looking at the standings and I saw where Boston lost to Orlando 104-102. Orlando is looking to be tough. Portland is 4-6 and have lost 3 in a row, its another home game which is a plus so I think we should win this one, we better win this one and the next one too here against Washington because then we have @Orlando and then back home for Boston back to back games..(ouch).... :g:

This should be a good game. The matchup I'm looking forward to seeing is......................Charmin/Twiggy. Since you guys are posing trades involving Channing Frye. Who will win that battle. ::)

My money is on Twiggy. :D

we need this game. its a big one to give our squad some confidence winning 6 of the first 10. i think they can do it cuz both of their big men (aldridge and frye) are perimeter oriented and will be taking a lot of jumpers, which is good. ill say cats 97-89

Is this one not on TV either? I'm in Raleigh and don't get the same MYTV12 that you guys get, but I'm not sure it's airing on that in Charlotte either. Any chance of a feed somewhere?

Channelsurfing.net says this should be it, if not it their website's fault not mine...hopefully it works though, kind of wanted to see this game...

I think Lamarcus Aldridge is going to give us some trouble tonight, but in the end we'll overcome his efforts and win a close one by 4 points.

Not to knock the fine blazers fans, but seeing their site makes me enjoy the Planet even more. I mean, we look GOOD.

Also, as a side note, this Wallace fella seems to be having a decent night so far. Who knew this kid could play? (other than all of us...)

It seemed like he held it straight up for too long. If he'd just taken it to the basket immediately, it would've been 2 (maybe even +1) for the Bobcats.

We can't shoot at all tonight 6/10 for free throws, shooting 41% from the floor, if it wasn't for their turnovers and them shooting 31% we'd most likely be losing this game right now...

AND

Lucky ass shot by Blake at the end from half court....he could do it again if he tried 20 more times...

Wallace15

40-36 us and halftime. Wallace with 18pts already. We're shooting better, outrebounding, and have less TO's but only up by 4. Hopefully we see a beast 2nd half and build a big lead.
If the stats on yahoo are right LMA only has 3pts, 1 rb, 3TO's, and 3 fouls at the half. Looks like we're containing him pretty well.

I hate blake's reaction after he made that shot. You can see him say "thats right" like he meant to do it or something.

Finally Brezec is out, he sucks, man I'd do about anything to get rid of him....*Hires Sniper*

But seriously, his defense is horrible, his offense is even worse, he can't shoot FT, basically he's good to give a shiner every now and then..

Bad News: Hollins has 5 fouls...

hopefully Jermareo Davidson gets some PT now...

Let me be the first to say "Great Job Ray!!" He is playing like I wanted him to play! 24 pts, 10 assists and only 2 TO's. You are showing me something Ray, you are starting to proved something to me. Yeah!!!!

Feels great to be 2 game over .500 and off to the best start in franchise history . I'm just wondering why Davidson didn't get any PT tonight. With Hollins in foul trouble and Primoz, well....sucking, you'd think he'd got some burn.

Oh, and great game by our "Big 4". Crash, JRich, and Felts with 20pts+. Ray and EO50 with double/doubles. Very nice site to see.

THought that the guys really did what they had to to take care of Portland in the fourth. I remember two years ago when the 4th was our weak point, but with the exception of the Houston game we have really answered the call. At some points it seems like we couldnt miss.

I could only see the stats from the game as I had thing to do tonight. Looked like our starting 5 kicked butt, well exception of Primoz. Here is some trivia for ya'll.
season 1 6-14 20 games
season 2 6-17 23 games
season 3 6-16 22 games
this year 6-4 10 games

5-2 at home; 3 game home win streak
Yeah Id say we are alot better this season....Great win tonight guys!.... :g:

Nice game tonight! Felton did his part by distributing the ball and not turning it over, and the rest of the guys came through!

Anyone else see that dish that Felton gave to Okafor later in the game? The shovel pass out of the double team? Just sick. LOVED IT!

Sucks I missed this game (got in very late from work last night) but anyway it feels great to be at 6-4 and it looked like we played an overall great game looking at the stats.

Did anyone else see this?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Charlotte center Primoz Brezec was in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Portland despite needing four stitches near his left eye after colliding with an assistant coach in practice.

The 7-foot-1 Brezec and Paul Mokeski bumped heads while working on a drill Sunday. Brezec's eye was nearly swollen shut during Monday's shootaround, but the swelling had gone down when he returned to the arena Monday night.

"We're calling him Rocky Marciano," Bobcats coach Sam Vincent said. "He can now see out of the eye."

Brezec, who has started all 10 games for Charlotte, is averaging 2.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 13.2 minutes.

The 7-foot Mokeski, who spent 12 seasons in the NBA, was uninjured.

"He completely smashed Primoz's head and he doesn't have a dent on his head," Vincent joked.

Solid game from Gerald, J-Rich, Felton, and Okafor. Those steals and fast break points from Gerald were great. I loved how aggressive Hollins was being on the offensive glass, but he committed 5 fouls in just 11 minutes! That's not good, and it prevented him from getting any kind of significant minutes in order to get any offensive or defensive rhythm. Walter Herrmann looked really good in short minutes, hitting both of his shots and pulling down a rebound. I think he will start getting more playing time.

Some bad calls out there, probably against both sides, but I remember the ones against the Bobcats the most. I like Dick Bavetta, but he needs to see if his medicare will pay for a new set of glasses.

Overall, good job running the ball, passing, and rebounding. Not such a great job at the free throw line. A shooter like J-Rich should have a higher FT%.

Dunk
11-20-2007, 07:32 PM
I was at the game. We got more than our fair share of BS blocking and traveling calls. Some calls for Bavetta to get glasses and Violet Palmer to go back to the WNBA. I had a fun exchange with a fellow fan.

Me, after the half: "Man, what did Coach say to J-Rich?"

Other Dude: "I don't know but it's working."

Me doing Coach " -Rich, stop sucking out there, man..."

(laughter)

Small but enthusiastic crowd. I really think that there are some people in town besides us that are taking to the team. Now that they've made some investments and it's paying off, people are starting to warm up and show a little more support. It's spreading but slowly.

General observations:
- Felton looked damn good penetrating and dishing
- Crash is just sick
- If J-Rich hits his jumper, everything else opens up for him. He can't/won't take it to the whole like Ray or Crash which is interesting.
- It looks like Coach is still trying to find the right way to use everyone else besides McInnis and Carroll. Tonight we saw lots of Hollins and Hermann. Walter looked good but it seemed like they moved him outside more to create better scoring chances with the jumper for him which worked. I guess we'll continue to see that for a few more weeks as he figures it out.

Muttley
11-20-2007, 08:21 PM
Real glad that Vincent is trying to work in both Hollins and Hermann. Wish he could find more room for Davidson and Dudley, but I understand it's hard to find enough minutes for all 12 in the 240 minutes available in a game.
