What can we (BobcatsPlanet) do to get a Bobcat in the All-Star game?

I'm looking for ideas on what we can do to help get a Bobcat player in the all-star game this season. We all know that the Observer and local sports radio aren't going to do anything to hype the 'Cats.

We get a good amount of traffic, so once the voting starts, I could add links on the home page and the forum that link to the online voting, with a request for them to vote for their favorite Bobcat.

Any other ideas?

It would be really cool to play a big part in getting Emeka, Gerald, J-Rich or even Ray an all-star appearance.

We have a contest if it can be done . winner gets a special honorery title or somthing. The one who cast the most on line balots wins. May keep track if it can be done and rank each person who votes . Pole results or somthing. Can somthing like that be done . Would love the link to vote either way because i never vote at the games.
We might be able to get the link on a few other sites LIKE THE QUEEN city site or Bobcats World Real gmor sone others . We all need to pitch in and make efforts.

All so we should only vote for our players . And if you have to pick five make that last vote a sorry player.

Ziggy could we do somthing of that nature. pole, contest or just track the number of times each of us votes.

Good thread, Zigs. I've been voting daily for a week, so I should have brought this up. Oh, well. If there was a way to make the voting page to pop-up as soon as you enter bobcatsplanet, that'd have to work. Don't know if it's possible though.

Also, guys, you probably already know this, but make sure to vote for guys that have no chance of making it with the other forward position, as opposed to the popular ones. Korver, Granger, Villanueva, and Dunleavy are the ones I rotate.

Maybe we can come up with some attention grabbing 'VOTE' graphic at the top left hand corner of each page... And a few attention blog entries urging people to vote for example 'Vote a Bobcat into the All-Star game and get free beer at Bob Johnson's house'... or something goofy like that.

TheBeagle, the popup idea would have some impact. but ooohhhhh I hate popups. I'm afraid that it would chase a lot of people away. I avoid a lot of sites just because of the popups.

Emeka has a chance only if Shaq is injured sadly he'll just the popular vote and Howard will be a reserve. Still that hasn't stopped me from voting for the big 4 on our roster and I'll continue to do so.

Hilarious!!! That was my team last night. Thinking Granger is getting the vote tonight.

Also, Zig, I think your idea about having a box somewhere on the homepage is good. It's not as obtrusive as a pop-up, plus people will notice it with a good slogan/catchphrase or image like the Gil one you posted. I think it's best to focus on one player with whatever we decide to do because I think it would draw more attention, just as the Gil picture is more attractive than something like "Vote for your Washington Wizards for a magical night in N.O."

If we go that route, I think it should be GW that gets the nod.
