I agree with Mcinnis about OK50 not demanding the ball. He damn sure needs more touches.

yeah I also want meka to get more touches. He needs to get a little greedy and demand the rock more often. go cats and lets turn this season around and start winning some games.

Agreed.
Mek needs to demand the ball more, but he also has to get in the position to receive the ball.
V needs to set up plays where we spread the floor and give Mek options...either go one on one or pass to the player whose defender is sagging off to double team.
Our PGs/guards/wings all need to make feeding Mek a top priority.
IMO we do those three things we'll improve our chances to get the win immensely.

I totally agree Spectre, I would always rather go for the high % shot over the low % perimeter shot and Mek is the man to do it with. V should start a locker room jingle something like....
"Look for Mek so we can score, play good defence then go back to Mek for more".
What cha think?

Heh, you're killing me man!
I was watching Mek specifically in the paint last night. He was calling for the ball some, but even if he was holding his own defender back there was "help" nearby that could probably pick off the pass or at least swarm him once he got the ball.
It's just not on one person, and it's up to the coaching staff to work out a feasible offensive set that helps get him the ball. I like how he bitched out Felton after the TOR game because I saw a huge difference last night on defense...but we're either going to sink or swim together.
Notice Skiles made that one offensive adjustment (Noah setting the screen then going towards the basket) in the 4th and it did us in. V should be able to do that as well. Hopefully he will after he gets some experience in.

I agree with #50 getting more shots.
His lack of touches seems to be a combination of him not demanding the ball and the coaching staff not demanding the PG to get him the ball.
Vincent should be screaming at Ray and Jeff during timeouts to get the @%$@#$!@ ball inside to Emeka.

Agreement.....Emeka really needs to direct some meanness at the other team, instead of himself (free throws) and the refs. Man this guy could be really really bad news if he had a little hotter fire.

we at least have to establish a post presence so that we can get some higher percentage shots inside.

ummm i thought yall wanted this to be a running offense. you cant have a running offense built around guards and forwards and still get your center a post presence. cant have it both ways.
in the half court set... Mek is the only viable option downlow. its too easy to double him and attack him defensively... and hes not a dominating size guy... so its impossible. You have to have someone else down there that demands a body. Until Ryan gets back we dont have that.

Mustashio agreed to a point. But in a half court set he should touch more than once in the 4th quarter.
? What happened to our run and gun offence any way . We seem to be trying to slow it down in the last six games ?

Number 50 Says hes ready to get mean become a presence and demand the ball more. Shoot more even if it makes some of the other players mad it will help the team in the long run. I kinda agree with Mustachio . He needs another player inside to help stop the dubble.
It should be interesting?

You can note that when we slow down the offense Felton struggles more. When we were running, we were winning and Felton was lethal.
I think we need to get back to pushing it, wearing teams down, and driving the ball to the hole. I think Okafor should still get shots, but have him as more of an Andris Biedrins player in the style of play he does.
