So, guess who made the list.

If you said "Walter Herrmann," then you would be correct. Interestingly, it mentioned that the Pistons could be interested in him. Furthermore, also on the list is Shaw University's own Flip Murray. In the blurb about Flip, it includes a mention of Nazr Mohammed.
According to the Trade Checker, the following trade works out:

Wally & the Big OH (whom Detroit would probably just cut) for Nazr Mohammed.

I think this could help us fill out our big man problem, and would open up a roster spot for us. The problem is that Nazr's got 4 years on his contract remaining. I'm not sure what all that would do to us in the long run, but it's probably not great unless Nazr ends up being the long-term solution to the problem. Not sure that's the case though.

Anyway, I was further interested in getting Flip Murray as a back-up PG. He's filled in well for Chauncey recently, and could be of some worth to us. Ideally, I'd add to the above trade with McInnis out and Murray in, but that probably wouldn't work for Det. Ultimately, though, it seems that Detroit just wants an extra roster spot for CWebb (see the article). So, perhaps McInnis and (dare I say it) cash considerations would do it. We may not need to part with anything of real-playing value. Since we can't trade Jeff or DA until the 15th, the Trade checker won't let me check it. However, for the fun of it and to see what kind of salary would be needed for it to work, I tried the following trade:

Primoz/Big OH/Fabio for Flip Murray/Nazr. For your reference, t worked.

Thoughts?

We really should be playing Herrmann....

8. Walter Herrmann, Bobcats
One of Herrmann's colleagues from Argentina was opining earlier this month that Herrmann seems to have lost the will to play hard, but it certainly didn't look that way during the fourth quarter Sunday night when "Fabio" had a brief spurt against Detroit in which he lived up to his billing as the second coming of Andres Nocioni.
The Pistons are among the contending teams that would be willing to take a flyer on the forward who many remember as the difference-maker when Argentina defeated the U.S. in the semifinals of the Athens Olympics.

Let him play more coach! :g:

Herrmann's probably upset seeing that having won rookie of the month last year and in the only 2 games where he got decent PT this year has scored double digits hasn't gotten him in the rotation.

I think he is one of those guys that needs minutes to motivate him and have him play well.

I hope this is just Sam getting his sea legs (along with his insistence to play Shitpants (Primoz)), but its been 20 games man you better figure out what clicks.

Sorry for the silence that 7 game stetch was killing me, i couldn't deal with them, I'd watch but didn't want to be around them outside the games.

Grandmama, I don't think there's anyone who doesn't at least understand where you're coming from.

Side note: I needed to be told who shitpants was, because there my mind decided it had options on whom that name could be bestowed.

Back on topic, I think you're right about Herrmann needing PT to keep him going. So, I want two things to happen. I want him to either get the playing time he needs to perform at that high level, OR I want him to go to a team where they will allow for that and we can get something in return for him.

murray and mohammad would be great additions... murray would add some offensive firepower and mohammad is a proven post player... i would love that trade

Getting Murry and Mohammad in a trade would be awesome, but Hermann deserves more PT and he should be getting it when Richardson is struggling. Hermann should be the first reserve off the bench instead of McInnis and I don't think anyone disagrees with me on that.

I know I'm not the only one who was spreading this around, and I didn't exactly get the trade right, but... I'm just sayin', ya know. Just sayin'...

Muttley well played!!!!

Honestly I'd probably have preferred Harrington instead of Primoz, but I think V feels he needs guys who can't be pushed around vs. softer "finesse" guys (heh...Primoz, finesse!).

I really hate that we didn't put an effort in trying to develop Fabio further, but this move definitely helps to balance our squad.
