Hey guys, we always talk about how to get the ear of the team on certain matters. Well, since this season began, I have been posting on BobcatsPlanet.com, but also on a site I ran across called BobcatsReport.com. For over a month, I would post my thoughts after each game, and you know I am pretty opinionated! Anyway, no one has ever posted a response to anything I ever wrote, but someone has been reading. That is just background.
Last night, I went to post something after our victory. Surprise, there was a post by someone named Michael Thompson. (Unsure if it is the former player or not) Anyway, his post was "what do you want to see from this team" and focused on how to draw fans to the games, and improve the team relationship with the community. Well, I gave him my thoughts, and then asked if he was part of the organization b/c his question sounded like it would come from the team. The answer is Yes. Michael said he is the new Corporate Communications Director and just started this week. He would really like to know our thoughts on how to improve the relationship of the team to the surrounding counties, get better publicity for the team, etc... He is asking for our help.
Now, there is nothing wrong with posting at different sites. I know many of you post on other areas like RealGM, ESPN, etc... Anyway, I would think it would be very good of us to go over there and respond to his question. You can read my responses to him, and I am certain that as the gifted, smart and rabid fans that we all are here at BobcatsPlanet, that many of you can come up with some really good ideas. It can perhaps help the team in the area of relating to the fans, drawing more people, etc.. I told him of our site here, and that we post often and do not hold back our feeling on what the team does right and wrong. Honesty is the best policy.
Anyway, please read his post, look over my responses and then add some things which you think might help from your perspective. This is a way we can help the team, but also help ourselves if the team implements changes which will be more beneficial to fans.
Thank you my fellow Bobcat Fans! I bragged on us all, and I know you won't let me down.
