Who do you think we'll get to fill it? I was thinking that we'd bring in Boykins... And I'd love that!!! But, our front office seems so unpredictable now, it's hard to have any kind of idea of what's going on behind closed doors.

You think the Bobcats front office is unpredictable? You ain't seen nothing 'til you check out my Astros and new GM Ed Wade! HOLY SHIT!!!!! Not sure I'm going to recognize my boys this upcoming April, but after the last two lackluster seasons, that's not necessarily a bad thing :g: All these moves might backfire, but at least he blew up the underachieving Tim Purpura-built club!

I agree...Boykins. He brings offense and is hell to defend. A very nice scoring spark off the bench.

I still think we should add another big but now I'm also comfortable with Boykins. I don't trust neither Hollins nor Davidson or undersized Harrington as frontcourt backups. There should be other options, do you have any in your mind?
This open spot is the real profit of this trade, as mentioned by someone else in this forum (I apologise from him/her I don't remember nickname :( ). We should use it efficiently.

So, clearly we're going to start Oak and Nazr together. We'll probably still send Jermareo back to the D-League soon. However, we've hardly used the kid and don't rely on him at all. Thus far, we've had plenty of stretches where we've gotten by with Hollins playing with Mek, and recently the Big OH subbing in for Mek. With Nazr coming in, I think those two might be sufficient (a word that frightens me to say with this team) in back-up roles. However, our scoring has been as solid as Jell-O. Would another big man be the answer? Maybe, but really I think we'll grab Boykins to be that spark. JRich is all over the place, and lately Carroll's been off (mostly because the other team knows EXACTLY why he's in the game). Boykins can score and handle the ball when Felts needs rest.

I have strange vision of the Pistons getting rid of Primoz and us signing him right back. 8)

This thread had been opened after Nazr trade, we had generally mentioned Earl Boykins and we've ended up at him!
Now we have an empty spot again, so I dug deep and revived this topic. Actually I was thinking about not signing anyone. But now we're back in the playoff race, we need to have more depth for both the rest of the regular games this season and a potential berth.
In my opinion we should go after big men this time, and we have limited options, probably nothing but out of D-League. What are your opinions, maybe we make the board sign the player we want again!! :D
I think we need a SG more so than a big.
We have four healthy bodies when it comes to bigs and DA can't stay healthy.
Earl should be backing up Felts, not playing with him.

Fixed.
I think we definitely need to upgrade the QUALITY of our bigs, but that ain't happening from what we have to choose from.
Solid point Spectre.
A defensive SG who was lock down and didn't have the BBIQ of a house brick would be perfect.

Rockets just let go Gerald Green after the trade with Minn the other day. Does anyone want to take a flyer on his potential? He just turned 22 yrs old. He was 18th pick in 2005 1st round by Boston; a G/F. Lots of unmet potential. What if we got him cheap and he starts turning it around. It could be one of those diamonds in the rough that just needed a change of scenary to flourish.

If we could get him it would be nice. I think he is still young and projected to be a STAR . It could be a great pick up at a bargin basement price. Does any one know if he is a locor room cancer or somthing.

I found this at MVN.com (http://"http://mvn.com/nba-timberwolves/2008/03/10/string-of-bad-losses-for-wolves-provides-motivation-for-consecutive-wins/") sounds to me like they let him go just so they could sign somebody bigger (a bigger body).
Green cut
On Saturday afternoon, the Rockets let Gerald Green loose. That was pretty quick, huh? This move by the Rockets further justifies the trade that Kevin McHale made at the end of February to dump the dead weight of Green and bring in Kirk Snyder, who has already proved himself to be a more productive player than Green. Snyder is playing more minutes than Green ever saw, and while he lacks the explosiveness at the rim that Gerald possesses, he is a more fundamentally sound basketball player. At least Green got to go home for a little while, right?

Myself i like the kid. He would bring in another highflyer and would fit in our uptempo game style. He could back up G force and Bernie liked him in the draft when he was coming out. Maybe he could be that diamond in the ruff and we could then let Morrison go in a trade in the offseason for an upgraded big.

we cannot pick him up as he was cut after waiver deadline

Doesn't that only mean that he can't play for us in the playoffs?

Even though I **YIKES** wanted the Bobcats to draft either him or Granger ahead of May in '05 (well, at least my Granger pick would've been solid  ), I see no reason to get this guy now. He's not a low post threat; he's not an upgrade over Boykins at PG; and he's not an upgrade over Jermareo, in my opinion. It would be a waste of time for the Bobcats and Green.

Yes, you're right Muttley. But I don't believe he'd make an immediate effect for us. So we need to take a better shot to get a more contributive player. Maybe for next season..
