The new year is starting and Bonnell has given his advice for 2008. Strange but i agree with what he said.
What advice would you give the Bobcats for 2008

Hire Jerry West. If not him, hire me. I will make the necessary changes - hirings, firings and trades. Oh, yeah. And some dead weight on the team should be very afraid if I'm weilding the axe in the hiring/firing dept.

ohara, no offense or anything... but if you were the GM we would have a new team every week. and that my friend is no good for anyone...except trade junkies.

I actually like Bonnell's comments there. Really, free throws are huge, HUGE. Have to hit those.
Saying "win" or "fire the coach" or "fire front office people" doesn't help. This is definitely an energy team, they feed off each other, the crowd and really get up durring games more than any team I've seen this season except maybe the Warriors. If they could get a good cohesive unit and a rotation that works they could get dangerous.
I feel like I'm being realistic Mr. Bonnell, expecting my team to win some games!

Get non-flat soda and lower the pizza price a little, eight dollars (I swear I thought it was seven) is insane.

As for the b-ball, I said it at the beginning of the year and I'll say it again, defense. That's what I want. I'm tired of watching people ramalamahamdamning all over our players uncontested.

1st change: Ziggy for decision maker.
2nd change: Muttley for Orderer of Decisions to Implement.
3rd change: Implement thong night.

As to 1a and 1b, from my observations tonight, we must do 1b in order to do 1a. It seemed as though Emeka wanted the ball and wanted to do well, but he just couldn't get it to go down. Nazr can. Thus, 1b then 1a.

All the above would be my advice:

1. Less flat soda
1b. Skip the pizza; go for the make-your-own sandwich kiosk under the escalators on the 1st level. Get this massive sandwich, big bag of chips, slaw, and pickle, and you won't need to eat again the rest of the night....

2. More Ladycat fanny!!!

3. And on a team level, most definitely the putrid defense. It's sickening to watch us getting eaten alive on screens and back door cuts ad nauseum. Get a fucking clue, Vincent!!!!

4. Also, to echo Bonnell, don't lose focus of long-term goals/success, and try to barter the future away for a possible playoff trip this year or next year by making stupid offseason (or pre-trade deadline) deals/moves. Thinks are sorta bleak right now, but I swear we're not too far away from being a perennial playoff contender; it's just the right moves will need to be made, and the wrong ones will need to be avoided. How's that for vague? :P

Not every week; just until I got the players I wanted. It only seems that way since I have been pushing for certain trades for several weeks now. Once the trades are done, then I'll be happy and content.

I am just pissed off that as well as Nazr was playing once he got here, why the hell the coach then decides to play him less than 1/2 the game so we can play small ball.

It is a rookie coach not knowing what to do and drawing at straws..... :g:

Start Nazr with 'mek
Re-sign 'mek
Release McInnis
Draft well
Evaluate our coaching situation in the offseason...
Sign a key veteran for leadership

Get on FoxSports South so we can get the coverage we need starting next season to build the fanbase.
Get naming rights to the arena
Get HD broadcast

Lastly, we need to go .500 next year. Period. As it stands, I literally cannot give my other ticket away for games to friends. Winning will cure everything. But it starts with getting the right players with the right system and what we have doesn't look good today. And we need people to watch it. Started off well this year but has progressively gotten worse.
