It's gotta be Jordan talking to the players. When he talks to them, they actually listen. They know he knows what he's talking about. I think they really appreciate it when he comes and gives them a "pep" talk or whatever ever you want to call it. They look up to him.

its all pure speculation. but you gotta think MJ said something to Radio about his rotations and expirements.

Jeff played less (still way too much and in the wrong capacity)
Nazr played more (still not enough)
Matt played 30 minutes. I think MJ really likes MC for some reason...

All three of those things were things Sam hasnt been doing lately. In walks Jordan and the gameplan changes. so while theres no verbal proof... you can make the connection that MJ makes a huge difference.

thats just box score assumptions though. Someone who went to the game would have to give a better more detailed report of how the game played out and if Sam coached like an MJ puppet or not. Or if it was just the players having a fire lit under em.

I didnt go because im not going to another game until McInnis isnt a major part of our gameplan. 25 minutes is too much still, and when McInnis is in the game it should be to spell Raymond and thats it.

I have to agree with your accessment, I hope MJ talks to them before every game and at least teleconferences them before each road game for now on. It seems to be magical when he talks to the team. I wish he was like Jerry Jones (cowboys owner) standing on the sidelines of almost every game they play..... :g:

Wasn't at the game either, but I will take 30 minutes of Carrol over 30 minutes of McInnis any time. I do think MJ likes carrol, I remember last year when Carrol played much better he credited his conversations with MJ telling him to drive more.

Speaking of Mike, I wander how much longer it is til he is our coach? Since the bobcats seem to respond better when MJ is around it just seems logical for him. Bird, another former superstar, had some success on the bench, so why not mike. He HAS to be better than Vincent, and he would certainly command more respect from the players.

I agree! He is one of the most competitive and smartest ball players around, and EVERY player on the team worshiped him when they were younger and would have their full on attention. Honestly, who better to learn from then the best player ever to grace the court?

He just seems to have that "it" factor. Has he ever expressed interest in it?

I've been predicting it, I thought it might be a shocker and he would be it this summer, but I think unless he leaves the organization, he may become the coach, hes so damn competitive and has been coached by some of the best. He demands and receives tons of respect and is a motivator... By the way while I was in DC, I predicted the comeback... :)

Jordan is too demanding. he demanded nothing less than perfection from himself. and the little time he did spend as player/coach in washington... went over like a lead ballon.

no player will live up to his expectations... but with that said... id take it right now. and maybe he has mellowed.

I don't think they went over like a lead balloon, and he wasnt the coach. I think that he would know how to inspire his players, make them work hard in practice, and make them maximize their skill in the game... worth a shot over this idiot

I voted MJ talking to Sam because I think this team plays hard, or wants to play hard every night. They just aren't given the chance, except Gerald and J-Rich. I wouldn't crown him coach yet, doubt he even wants to do that. All along people in Charlotte and probably on here have made fun of his lack of involvement day-to-day. I hope this doesn't turn into a national story, I hate our team being known as "MJ's Boys." I went to the game. Not to sound too freakin geeky but i really concentrated on the game, eyes toward the bench at key moments, cut out the people watching(although the foreign guy was back). I haven't seen many NBA coaches look at notes during the game but Radio was pulling a card or piece of paper out of his pocket at times. What if MJ gave him crib notes or made him write down certain things to do? I also noticed when Mek got his 5th foul the white haired assistant got up walked over to Sam, whispered in his ear. How Radio doesn't hear that awful PA guy say "that's a 5th foul on Emeka OAK-a-FOR" I don't know. But anyway he just waived him off, I think we had about 9-10 mins left in the game and the Nets were closing to within 9 at that point, I would have taken him out. Anyway MJ good, not coach, Radio bad, New Nickname awesome.
