Here's our next 9 games....

11-Jan @Cleveland Cavaliers 18-18 L 2OT
12-Jan Detroit Pistons 26-9 LOT
14-Jan Denver Nuggets 21-13 W
16-Jan Orlando Magic 24-16 W
18-Jan @New Orleans Hornets 26-12
19-Jan Memphis Grizzlies 10-28
21-Jan San Antonio Spurs 25-11
23-Jan Dallas Mavericks 26-12
25-Jan @Chicago Bulls 15-22

If we go 5-4 through the next 9 games it would be nice, but we will have our hands full. I'd like to see us do better than 5-4 but thats hoping for alot.
The reality is we play 6 20+ victory teams, 1 .500 team and 2 teams below .500. What a test for the Bobcats.... :g:

Go Bobcats!!!!!

5-4 is very possible. I can see us beating Cleveland, Denver, Memphis, and Chicago. Then the rest will be tough challenges. My guess is we go anywhere from 3-6 to 6-3 over the next 9 games.

These stretch of games will definitely determine how good or bad we'll do the rest of the season.

Realizing o'course that we're being very optimistic due to our last 2 victories...I'd agree with those and throw in the ORL & NOLA games as possible. We should have beaten ORL at least once already (if not twice) and I doubt Crash and Felton both shoot a combined 7 of 26 against NOLA again...at least I hope not.

And there's always the chance that teams like SAS will overlook us.

Heh, amazing what a couple of wins will do isn't it?

it just depends on which team shows up... we could either see the team that we saw last night against the celts or the mcinnis lead bobcat flop that we had the prior several games

Cavs i think we BEAT
Pistons, I think we match up very well against, We just need to go inside out.
Nuggets on a east coast trip . I think its winable
Magic , For some reason we can't seem to match up with them.
Hornets, Another team thet will give us a fit
Grizzles at home should be a win.
Spurs hear we should win that one, Duncon starting to show his age . East coast trip. Duncon is on my Fantsy team hes not doing well on the road this year so far.
Mavs hear east coast trip winable
Bulls away be a hard win.

If we keep playing good i would be pleased with six wins out of the next nine. Actually any of those games are winable

comeon we are the new Blazers, were going 9-0 baby... I can dream right? If we keep playing our recent game, anythings possible, 9-0 included, if not I'd like to see at least 7 wins. If not, Vincents gone, weve seen the talent, the ability, use it man, MJ is teaching you! WIN

realistically then, I will be happy if we can go 5-5, though that doesnt help our progress on the record, I would like to start inching toward .500 not staying stagnant... there are a lot of home games, 6 of the 9. 6 games would be great, but anything less then .500 and we are hurting ourselves, no more hurting ourselves :)

Realisticly, 4-5 is the most likely, but 3-6 or 5-4 are possible. The one team I think we can upset is Orlando. If we play Nazr the 25-30 minutes, he can get Howard in foul trouble by pounding it in on him. Okafor wont do it, but Nazr will at least try.

To put it simply, this is the make or break of the season. If we are +.500 on the trip we go after playoffs, if we aren't we look at trade deadline selling to see what is out there.

Yes, this is a big stretch of games. I think the best we can do is 6-3, but we could easily go 2-7. I have no clue, as I haven't all season, but here's hoping....

PS. One of the biggest disadvantages we've had with this frontloaded home schedule is the fact we haven't had a true road trip yet. On the road, that's when players spend the most time together and start to gell; even if the losses pile up, they are learning a lot from each other, and the overall team dynamic is strengthened. I mean, when you're walking into arena after arena, night after night, with 18K+ fans cheering on the other team, you have nobody but the guys on your bench, and that does draw a team together moreso than having home game after home game, falling into the same routine.

It's taken us a while, but it looks like our team chemistry is at its season's best, and I think the guys have found out a few things about each other, which will hopefully make Feb. and March a little more successful than west trips of years past.

1-2 so far... but the 2 comes from overtime back to back and one without a pointgaurd... wow, so far, we can do this, we know we have enough talent...

Is it true that the Cats have never beaten Memphis. I could have swore I read that somewhere. They are always usually as bad or much worse than us.

I think Steve Martin mentioned that during the nuggets game.

Thats true we are 0-3 at home and 0-3 on the road against Memphis although having said that this is the year we beat them 2 out of 2...... :g:

I honestly know that it is possible for us to win out the rest of these games, 7-2... if not we are going to grind it out... we have something to play for... we are a playoff team, no thinking lottery guys, think 8th seed upset!

Still have 3 tough games out of the remaining 5 all against west coast teams.
Next up we go to New Orleans to take on the Shin's (Hornets).... :g:

I'll be damned if the guys haven't already matched my worst-case scenario win total only 4 games in! Come on, best-case scenario....

Definitely a tough stretch, but not make or break. This stretch hopefully will make us look like the team we are. The big test and what will make us or break us are all the road games in March. I think this stretch isn't quite easy, but it's all winnable. But I think it's a turning point. Jordan came and talked to the team at the beginning of this run of games so he obviously thinks it's a big deal....

If we can beat NOLA in regulation, then that would bode very well for our chances with Memphis. If you're attending these games, get the crowd fired up!
