View Full Version : GW = Gives Way... Class Act
According to Charlotte.com's Rick Bonnel:
Wallace says "he’ll judge himself more on rebounds than points the rest of the season. He believes that with Richardson scoring so well, he can concern himself more with possessions and slightly less with baskets."
It's one of the more positive development of the bobcats season, This has been what i'm drivin at the past 3 weeks or so and in the way have resulted in some heated arguments amongst some of our bobcatplanets friends.. Now, Role's are being slowly but clearly defined amongst the team and a Go-to Guy in JR is being established. It's important for GW to say this so that the whole team would put more trust and acknowledgement to JR being the new guy and all.. Great Development.. :afro:

It's definitely a good thing. The only way this would turn out bad is if everyone suddenly stops attacking, instead deferring to Rich every time. But, I don't think that'll happen. However, having a priority of attackers is pretty important.
We had a nice balance in the Boston game of going inside and then shooting from the outside, keeping the defense guessing (except for the sick Rich isolation plays). If we do that from here on out, we should be pretty strong. Felton, Wallace, and Carroll should make up the wing shooting if Rich is off.

he is a team player... all he really does is helps out the team in whatever way we need it at the time... what a great guy and a great player to have in our organization for years to come

More players in the NBA need to be like that. If you also notice, GW is still getting his points while getting more boards. It's working in that aspect. I think we just need some fine tuning (see Matt: starting)

GW is absolute gold!! If Charlotte hadn't soured on basketball, he'd be a much more recognizeable figure across the region, much like Muggsy and Dell were for the Hornets. The ULTIMATE team player who has done nothing but flourish since coming here, and his development and dedication have been a blast to watch!
The guy deserves so much more publicity, but being the man he is, he couldn't give a rat's ass, as long as the Cats are getting it done!

WHAT??? Oh man! I was hoping he was going to be that 20+ pt player guy. He's giving up points? ??? ??? ??? I know this sounds kind of selfish but, come on. I was hoping he was going to make his first all-star appearance. I guess that's never gonna happen. :( .......Great

He will have to become popular through out the US to be on a all star team, its just a popularity contest, its not based on actual performance which I think it should be..... :g:

How can Crash not be everybody's favorite Bobcat?
Except for J-rich, with the way he's been playing lately.

good to see GW is a true TEAM player. some players averaging 20 a game couldn't do that (be a 2nd option). hopefully this will limit GW's jumpers tho and only have him attack the basket and shoot FTs :)

I think G-Dub told a lie or he probably meant he was going to take MORE shots. I knew I found it hard to believe that he was giving up shots.

Yeah, with JRich in foul trouble and not on his game, Gerald sure didn't hold back...

Both of them are such class acts and great team players, I think they have finally learned that either they both go for 20 or one for 10 one for 40, on a good night 30-20, either way they make up like 40% of our scoring every night and they realize that, and one or the other picks up slack. I dont think Gerald ever looked at J-Rich as coming in to take over, or that this was his team and he shouldn't have to make way or any of that. They have just Geled to become one of the best 1-2 punches in the league. Hey last night we beat possibly the best 1-2, because our 3,4,and 6th guys steped up big time where theirs couldn't.
