And Daniel "Boobie" Gibson
Finding an image to mock his nickname would probably have turned this thread into a trainwreck really quick

So, tonight we have a shot at getting a nice 3 game winning streak.
Lets make it happen!

This is good stuff. I hope we keep the streak alive. Who knows, maybe this team is getting ready to go on a blitzkrieg and destroy everybody in their path for the next few games.

We have a lot of momentum going into tonights game so I actually think it's not a long shot saying we can get another road win this week. Lebron will get his numbers reguardless but we have to continue to play tough on both sides of the ball and big games from our starters will secure the win I think.

Come on Bobcats!!! Take the Calvs out!!

I hope the last 2 games along with tonights game are all starting the Bobcats climb out of the basement and into respect through out the league. These next 9 games if we can get through these games winning 5 or more of them that will gain us a little respect since we will be playing 6 playoff contenders out of the 9....We should win this game tonight no problem..... :g:

Go Bobcats!!!!!

Sure, Lebron might go off for 30+ but is there really anybody else on the Cavs that scares you?

We should take this one.

J-RICH DROPS 35!!

123together
01-11-2008, 11:55 AM
hopefully the zone will be effective again tonight and force bron bron to take a lot of jumpers or make him get through 2 guys for tough shots all night. i think richardson goes for 30+ again tonight in a slim victory

as long as jrich continues on his tear we should be okay... lebron will do his thing as he always does but the key is just shutting down the supporting cast

In that case we will need plenty of fuel reserves so not to run out of gas mid stride....

Felton is ALWAYS superb against the cavs. This was his rookie season breakout team, and is always the team he does well against before he goes on tears.

I think Felton will score 20+ and will combine with J-rich and Crash to lead this team to an easy victory.

I think Lebron will score 40.

Bobcats 118 Cavs 105

I like the artical Bonell wrote about tonights game.
It said coach V is going more with a big line up for match reasons. That means more NAZR and less MCINNIS.
That all so means Wallace guards the King instead of J. Rich. I like our chances Bobcats win 3rd straight.

dav, I think that's just Bonnell speculating. Hopefully Bonnell is right for once.

LeBron landed right on his achilles tendon from about two feet in the air with plenty of momentum. End of career is exaggerated but he could be wearing a boot to repair that for a long long time which in other words means that we will pretty much become un-watchable.

To say this sucks is an overstatement. Up by 8 at the start of the 4th. Chance to win the game at end of 1st overtime. Lose your primary point guard and your back up point guard, and one of the injuries looks serious.

In the span of two days it went from elation to utter depression.

I have to say we played our hearts out tonight. We should have won it but didnt. In the 4th quarter we went to the perimeter shot which still wasnt going and kept trying it and kept on trying it until the score was tied, felts was lucky to have hit the 3 at the end of the 4th to go to OT. We played a good 1st OT but what the hell kind of winning shot was that? Then in the 2nd OT we lost our legs got tired because we quit rebounding and fell behind and boom Felts goes down and we lose the game. If I have to blame the loss on one thing I have to say it was JRich cooling off and only scoring 2 pts in 3 quarters. If he would have hit just 1 or 2 of those shots we would have won it in regulation.....Chaulk it up to experience and go from there. Hope Felts will be ok and hurry back...Sign Boykins to a 10 day and see how good he is...... :g:

Alas, nothing has changed with this franchise. Tonight would've been a pardigm-shifting win, in my opinion (3 straight wins against playoff teams, two of which on the road), and instead it's just another heart-breaking loss that will inevitably lead to a succession of losses, thereby destroying all momentum created over the last 2 games.

Our money man FT shooter, Matt going only 2-4 from the line; just shooting 3-4, which is still below his average, woud've given us the game, but things just don't turn out good for this franchise, so why should it start now?

Also, why did GW just hold the ball after his rebound of Damon Jones's missed 3 in the first OT, instead of giving the ball to Raymond who was open beside him? Instead it's knocked out of his hands of his leg, Cavs get the ball back, and Jones nails the 3 the second time to tie it up.

The game was effectively over after the first OT when we have 14 seconds to draw up a decent game ending play, and wind up with Raymond pounding the air out of the ball near the Cavs bench for 12 seconds before throwing up an airball over Varejao. Why no movement? Why no drive to the hoop? There's a reason we're 13-22 (and will probably be sitting on that 13 for a good while), and we just witnessed it on that play.

If they can come back and beat Detroit tomorrow, then there is still a chance of actual change taking place with this team, but if things stay as they have been over the last 3 2/5 seasons, it will be loss number 2 in a row. We'll see :-\

The Beagle is dead on. On paper and in our minds this team should be able to hang with everyone and have a decent chance for the playoffs, but after so many little bonehead moves (end of 1st boston game, this last attempt in 1st overtime) the record does truly speak for itself. Even all of our favorite players (Felton, G-Force, JRich) play really dumb basketball way too frequently. We all know they are capable of more. Will they ever pull through?

The guys played thair tails off tonight. The only thing i didn't lake was it was to much standing and waching on the offencive end. J Rich might of caused that the way he torched the first quarter.
I really liked the play of Nazr 21pts and 15 board in less thn 30 mins good play .
Ever one else looked good except Oakfor . Hes in some kind of funk he needs to get out of quickly befor he loses his starting gig.Nazr is about to take it from him .
I can stand a loss like this . I think that bad call at the end of regerlation cost us the game.

Yeah I forgot about that one, lets see reasons we lost;

1) Bad call by ref end of 4th quarter.
2) JRich going cold for 3 quarters.
3) Missing perimeter shot after perimeter shot during the 4th quarter which let them back in the game.
4) Bone head airball shot at the end of 1st OT.
5) The flat play by Mek is another.
6) Lack of defence in key situations.

Take your pick....

There was way too much standing around on the offensive end. They didn't move with the ball enough and they didn't move off the ball at all it seemed especially late in the game...

I agree. There was far too much standing around at the end of the game. But, I think the real reason that we lost was the same reason the Cavs won the Eastern Conference last year. When we needed to stop LeBron, we didn't. Despite the adversity we put ourselves in the whole game, it was still our game to win until LeBron decided to score in the 2OT.

It's frustrating, but there was a lot of good play from guys last night. I mean, how about Nazr Mohammed?

Now, has anyone heard about how Raymond's doing?

I would add Nazr getting fouled out on the list as well he was on a tear last night whenever he got the little pass from Felts in the paint.

For those that haven't heard it's just an ankle sprain. He probably won't play tonight vs. the Pistons, but even that isn't 100% yet. Touche had a quad sprain and it is not serious either.

Oh, and one stat that no one is mentioning is our free throw shooting. 56%?????? This game would have been ours with some fundamental free throw shooting. That is pathetic for professional bball players.
