Hour and a half before gametime and nobody's done it yet, so I'll get the ball rolling. No fancy graphics or lineups and such, just hoping we bring it hard tonight, and maybe start showing that we are learning and growing from the last 2 brutal losses. Also, here's hoping Matt can get his FT stroke back because he's really hurt the club the last 2 games....

Somethings I'm hoping we'll see tonight...
*Nazr and Emeka on the floor together for majority of the game.
*Very little of Touche'.
*Crash being a monster on Defense and J-Rich lighting it up on Offense.
*Ray looking good and being able to hold up on D with him being less than %100 and a player like A.I. on the opposing side it could be a LONG night for him.
GO Cats

Good first half by the Cats besides a few early fouls and Melo being Melo out there it's been a solid game for us. We have to step it up on the defensive side of the ball for us to come out with the W tonight though.

carroll, Wallace, & Okafor are having very good games...Felton is passing great, but still can't shoot and I think the ankle has something do with it...Carroll is really stepping up with JRich in foul trouble..

Crash was a freaking beast tonight, played strong the entire game! Felts dishing, Mek being agressive...even Hammer wakes up!

Go Bobcats!!!!!!!!
Actually, I can.
Vincent went with this matchup:
Felts vs. AI
Touche' vs. Carter
JSwish vs. Melo
Crash vs. Martin
Mek vs. Camby
Now I haven't looked at the scores vs. the lineup, but notice that our run to catch up and take the lead we were going with this:
Felts vs. AI
JSwish vs. Carter
Crash vs. Melo
Nazr vs. Martin
Mek vs. Camby
IMO JSwish having to guard Melo overworked him and helped to screw up his offense...not to mention keeping him in foul trouble throughout the game.  It also matched up Crash against KMart which was a big mismatch in their favor in the paint (and part of why we were outscored so badly in the paint).
Still, we finished and won with the more sensible lineup...so I'll give Vincent that.  Maybe he's learning.
WE WON!!!!!
God I love winning!!!!

No doubt Zig...all those O boards they were picking up at the end about had me freaked out beyond control.
Mek being "back" is the biggest story of the night. If he can continue what he's done the last couple games we really have a shot to make a push.

Huh... what was the first???
Anyways, Ziggy hit the nail on the head with the ulcer comment. I sweating those last few moments.
One thing I don't get about the line-ups is why would BOTH Felton and McInnis start after being out with injury. Felton, sure, but McInnis?
Really, though, I don't care all that much who starts the game so long as the players that aren't or can't play as well don't get as much time and aren't there in the end. We absolutely have to have five of these six on the court at the end of games: Wallace, JRich, Felton, Emeka, Nazr and Matt.
I'd almost say both Mek and Nazr definitely should be there, at least for the rebounds.
Glad to have the win. I can't wait to head down to Charlotte on Wednesday to watch the boys take this new sense of Paint Presence up against the One-Man-Frontcourt in Dwight Howard.
Go Bobcats!
Matt, that is the shiz-nite.

two more things...
1 Marcus Camby is a beast... 20 points, 23 rebs-- ridiculous
2. Iverson is a really nice guy... when he was comming out of the tunnel at halftime, I saw him go over to a fan in a wheelchair who wanted to shake his hand, he said stay there after the game and ill give you something special... after the game he got his shoes and is sweat bands! He looked pretty happy

Observations: Bobcats = Entertainment for sure.
Gerald Wallace is deeply involved in his own personal war and is taking no prisoners. He has arrived. He and Melo had some squirmishes involving dunking and blocking and more dunking and blocking, but Crash won the battle. Melo smiles; Crash sneers. Love it.
The Nuggets are a powerful team; with Camby, Martin, Anthony and Iverson. Kenyon Martin is a beast. Melo is bigger and better in person than I realized. Camby is freaky long, and very very good.
Unlike you all; I was not happy with Vincent. The team won despite him. The small ball he insists upon using left JRich matched against Melo (as Spectre noticed) and Wallace matched against Kenyon Martin. We had one big man overmatched in the paint. Sam's basic game lineup is one that puts the team into poor matchups right from the get-go. Night after night.
Nazr and Emeka really have a nice chemistry. They are playing well together. When only one of them was on the court; the Nuggets killed us in the paint. When they were both out there; the paint was defended. Its that simple. And this coach is not going to figure that out and I don't know why.
For all their stars; the Nuggets weakness was simply that they didn't take advantage of the mismatches Vincent gave them. Except for one amazing run in the 2nd Quarter; Melo really wasn't attacking as much as he could have. Anthony Carter and Kleiza shot too much. Iverson made some nice drives inside; but missed alot outside. Martin got into foul trouble; and with Nene out; they had no front court depth. George Karl must be going crazy.
Carroll seems to have found his stroke. Actually he found it about a week ago; and thank goodness. Good to see you again Matt.
But really this is all about Gerald Wallace. I think he truly launched during the Pistons game. That is why that game is so important. We are watching the emergence of greatness. Crash is becoming a nasty basketball player; truly nasty.

The PA was a little more tolerable tonight, but only a little. It got louder as the night wore on (or maybe I was wearing out).
The audio assualt that went on between the 3rd and 4th Quarter was intense. Really the PA guy should have been arrested for crimes against humanity. There are a lot of small children in the crowd!
What a great way to drown out the crowd and ruin a game. Sheesh. That's it, I'm getting earplugs.

WOW!!! My hopes have been answered for once!!!!! And it feels great!!!! Matt was money man from the stripe, and in the clutch at that!! Knew you could do it!! Don't know how many more sentences I can type that will end in exclamation marks, but I think it's justified!!! Maybe those losses were for the best after all!!!! If that's the case, then I've just been converted to a fan of the moral victory!! It looks like we're learning the moral and applying it, and things are starting to roll!!!! Very excited about going to the Magic game!!!! We are due to beat those overachievers, but it will take more strength and determination!! Now I'm starting to feel we can do it!!!

I didn't get to catch any of the game, but it looks like we did great! 40 pts? Are you serious? How sick is that guy? Is there a doctor in the house? God I love this team!

I've been wondering what the 2nd Bobcats jersey I buy will be. After tonight's performance I'm thinking it'll be #3.
Huh... what was the first???
It's an orange Felton jersey. Gotta support my boy first and foremost. Raymond's been one of my favorite players since he was Mr. Basketball in my home state of SC.

Right on.
How about that Iverson fellow? He comes to our town, throws a party, takes a beating and then pulls a classy act like that.
Beagle, I like the attitude. Moral victories are stupid, if you don't learn from them. This may have happened for us before, but I don't think it happened last night. I am pumped to watch the Magic game. We've been right there with them for stretches in our previous games. Let's just hope we can stop Hedo tomorrow night!
